September: A History Painting by Gerhard Richter

Accurate interpretation of the deliberate destruction twin towers of NY as a theme for Richter painting.

This book is not only a great text on the impact of September 11th but serves as a good introduction to Richter's practice...The only downside is that pages 62 and 63 are missing; page 64 begins in the middle of a sentence and the previous two pages are completely blank. The book was new so I can only assume this will be through the whole run. Lends an extra bit of mystery to the painting.
