Joy Mangano Teal New Miracle Mop

Mine arrived broken, I blame Warehouse for that but I will reorder full price. My online friend has one and swears by it, using it WITH the mop bucket that goes with it. (This matching mop bucket isn't required but it is deep and round enough to handle the nicely large mop head on this mop, and it also has measurements impressed on the bucket to make mixing a solution easier.) Even though I could not use the one I got, I could see that the handles are made from very thick, good plastic. The aforementioned mop head is large, thick and looks as if it would do a good job mopping. The mop head is also replaceable by a simple snap out feature, My friend failed to mention that the Joy miracle mop is height adjustable too. This is a great feature not only because I am tall but also because I bet shorter people or those in a wheelchair would also appreciate that idea. When I get mine I shall repost if anything changes - I faithfully do that becasue all the reviews are what makes Amazon so wonderful. (5/23/18)

This is the best mop! Very well suited to our house, with my little nephew running around spilling chocolate milk all day; just fill a bucket and get down to it. The mop head is nice and wipes down the floor with quiet softness. There is a lot of material on it but it's also looped so that it isn't in any way unwieldy or uneven. Contained, sort of. I usually hate draping, dripping, heavy mop heads that only clean using the trailing ends; this is not like that. The mop itself is very solid, and in my case, a very pretty teal. The height of it is more suitable to MY height (5'11" and as long in the arms) than most and easily adjusted. Wringing is really easy once you've sat down with the instructions and gotten the sequence stored in your head with a little practice and learned to adhere to keeping your hands on the handles when locking and unlocking. Not hard to wring at all, really easy on the arms, and the process leaves just the right amount of water for the way I like to mop. Big, nice hook for hanging up in the closet. Very important for us to keep it out of the hands of the baby (he is obssessed with mops and brooms and they go missing). A Command hook later it is up off the floor in a set place and able to dry. Ditching the swiffer. If you ever wanted a chance of getting the stick of a toddler spill off, you had to use several (expensive) pads/ bring the thing under the kitchen sink/ flip them over/ hope the swiffer mop is charged and awkwardly scrub really hard with it flopping around in between just getting the pad back on the thing constantly. Also, I really doubt the miracle mop will have the handle begin to bow like ours did. Joy is an excellent inventor. You can tell this mop was designed to help you complete your daily chores, with thought of how best to do so, in the way that it does.

this mop is a piece of junk. I am a professional housekeeper and the Joy mop is an inferior product. the cheap aluminum handle bows when you are scrubbing and will likely break. there is no scrubby pad at the end of the mop. The top handle "A" does not stay and unwrings in my hand. The wringing method does not work. lots of water left in the mop head. I cannot wring it. The mop head itself is so small only covering a 6 inch diameter. Ugh, designer colors, why did I choose fucia........DO NOT BUY THIS. IT IS NOT A JOY. thank god I only spent $20

The mop is okay, but nothing spectacular compared to other washable mops. The locking feature on the handle is actually a bit difficult to use. The wringing feature seems to work okay, but you have to work sort of hard to get it to wring out. Overall, I had to work harder to use this mop than a less expensive mop from another brand that I already had. I don't love it, but it does a decent job mopping. I won't buy another one.

Mop was difficult to unlock and shorten at first..flattening mophead, heavy oonger than most. Long great reach behind tight areas. No touch rinse...washable thick Will buy another

Fabulous invention. When you receive the mop, twist open the top and bottom colorful plastic areas to the "open" position and you are good to go. The initial twisting is the only thing that I felt was snug. You'll know when it unlocks because it kind of falls into place and becomes loose feeling. Keep them both in the unlocked position all the time. It's so easy to wring, no twisting or bending involved. You just grasp the bottom portion (colored plastic part) to hold the mop and then grasp the top colored portion with your other hand. Move the top portion up and down as if to meet your other hand (which stays still). It's actually super gentle. I"m going to be ordering these my mother and friends.

Seems like it's a good mop, as far as that goes. But, the handle is so big around that I can't really hold it and twist it comfortably or effectively. Also, a week after I tossed the packaging I went to use the mop again and realized I couldn't remember how it works. I sort of managed, anyway the floor got cleaned, but it wasn't a seamless experience. I have average to slightly large hands (based on how I buy gloves) and I'm not a delicate flower. This mop is too big.

This is by far the best mop I have ever owned. My house is mainly tile and hard wood floors. I replace my mop every two months, this is the first time I will not have too. The mop head detaches from easy cleaning in the washing machine and is easily reattached to the handle. The mop wrings without ever having to get my hands wet, and the fabric of the mop head does not hold odors, stains or even pet hair. The handle is very strong and the wringing pieces easily move without getting stuck. The most well made map ever.

It cleaned well but found it a little heavy to handle.
