Disappointing and pretty useless - Wish I'd read the reviews!
I wish I'd read the reviews for this book more carefully - its complete nonsense. The recipes are US - despite the union flag and claims to be UK on the front. You can tell this because is uses US measurements (cups) and terminology e.g. zucchini, rather than courgette etc. The recipes are not inspiring - I bought a little BBC Good Food book on low carb - which is way better. All in all really disappointing and I doubt I'd ever use it.

Not what it seems...
This is not exactly what it claims to be. It is a re-badged AMERICAN diet/recipe book. Granted the weights have been changed to metric but they haven't bothered to change the basic ingredients :- GROUND beef instead of mince; ZUCCINI instead of courgette etc. Also, Americans seem to need far higher levels of sweetness in their food so there are lots of instances of added sweeteners (erythritol for example). I did consider returning the book, but decided to keep it simply because there are one or two fairly interesting ideas for recipes. I shan't be following their diet suggestions however, but will revert to my tried and tested Michael Mosley "Fast 500" series.

Basic cookbook
I like the fact that it has colour pictures of the recipes, talks about what low carb means, and gives some diet plans. On the down side, there are inevitably a number of dishes that I would not like. Quite a flimsy book and although there are some good recipes, I should really have just printed a selection off the internet and put them in a folder!

Arrived on time. Lots of recipes to try
High dependance on dairy and animal products and some sugar substitutes, which may not be suitable for everyone but that’s the way of many keto and low carb diets. On the plus side lots of recipes to try and many that may be adaptable for vegans and those with dairy intolerance. Recipes look easy to follow with not too many ingredients which should be available in supermarkets or health shops or on line if necessary. Some colour pictures to stimulate your appetite. Also a month of planned meals to get you started and lots of easy to read information on what to eat, and why you may gain health benefits from engaging in the diet. Overall not a bad book but you do need to use common sense regarding portion size as many of the recipes are for quite a bit more than for one person.

Printed by Amazon - some laziness from the editor and proof reader.
Thin book and definitely doesn’t give “1500 days “of tasty recipes unless you consider their “meticulously crafted 28-day meal plan” to be representative. In week 1 nearly every breakfast is the same, every lunch the same, every dinner the same and every snack the same. Weeks 2, 3 and 4 have different suggestions but the meals for each a day of the week are the same. Follow their advice and you will soon get bored with their suggested lack of variety. Not all their suggested plan meals have recipes included in this book. There are around 80 recipes in the book that they could have selected for the plan. Most recipes seem to be for 4 to 6 people. In a number of places the recipe headline says “5 minutes cooking time” but the more detailed descriptive text says 20 minutes in an oven etc.Conversion tables in the back of the book are for USA measures and not UK imperial, and American terms used for some ingredients. Definitely not written for the UK market.

Cheap quality printing
Recipes and book contents are fine, but it's cheaply printed on low quality A4 paper. Clearly designed for ebook.
