This keyboard is, without a doubt, a perfect choice for anybody starting or picking up a new 'board for their setup! I didn't browse enough EPOMAKER brand keyboards before this one because the Shadow-X alone stuck out in the listings like seeing that classroom crush at school every time, except I didn't make a move until I saw the sale listing go down to little less than $40. Jokes aside, this model was always on my mind, even after owning at least 5 different 'boards at this point, but now I wish I went with this one before the picking up the others. It's thocky, clean, and comes with nice utilities to compliment all your desktop leisure and enjoyment. Gaming much? The Flamingo switches (selected in the drop-down menu) are smooth, light, and responsive for both casual and competitive gaming. Typing and internet browsing? Not only is it sporting itself off like a fine luxury vehicle in the form of a keyboard, the LED display and wireless nob, that provides a connection between 3 different devices via Bluetooth AND the 2.4 wireless dongle, adds power to play in all private activities while browsing the web. The display screen shows battery life, time of day, weather, and whether you are connected via Bluetooth, Dongle, or Wired. Also, console friendly for game chat, swapping to keyboard (if the game allows alternating controllers like Fortnite), and quick browsing the game store online or various apps. It's very useful without any hassle! It comes with features I didn't think I needed or wanted in the first place, but it's definitely a highlight. Overall quality is impressive. Some may complain about the plastic body, but it's not a real issue in this case since the switches, gasket, and foam create a pleasing poppy-like thock noise to your typing. In the end, I highly recommend this keyboard; it's constantly on sale throughout the year, you don't need much customizing or spending compared to top brand models, and it already makes desktop life easier. Don't skip this if it's definitely on sale, because it is worth the price and called a steal when it is. Thanks for reading!

Love the feel and the sound. Amazing battery life.

This is a really, really nice keyboard, and for the $42 I paid, it's awesome. The form factor is great, the mode select knob is way more useful than I expected it to be, the screen is a great addition, and oh my glob is this comfortable to type on. I was convinced I'd hate the weird profile that the very nice doubleshot PBT keycaps have, but it's surprisingly easy to get used to. The board's software is not exactly intuitive, but I'm hardly ever going to use it. You can remap keys, change RGB lighting patterns and create your own, and very importantly, set up macros. The stabilizers are good, but when I put quieter switches on, I was able to notice a tick. Some dielectric grease shot down into the stabilizer joint plus a bit of medical tape has mostly taken care of it, and should completely resolve it over time as the grease works its way in. So why four stars? The Wisteria switches. Look, I love the way they sound, I love how smooth they are, but the amount of stem wobble is just unacceptable. I bottom out my switches, always have, I know, I'm horrible, but when the switch gets to the bottom, there is a ton of lateral movement. It drove me nuts to the point that I tried a couple of different switches before settling on Epomaker Zebras. They're basically the same as the Wisterias in terms of force and feel, but they have a slightly different sound to them and, most importantly, no stem wobble. With the Zebras in place, the board is maybe a little louder than I'd prefer, but it feels great and the sound is great. At $42, this is an absolute steal of a board. I wouldn't pay the full retail price of $85 when you consider how close that gets you to something like a Rainy 75, but for what I paid, I am quite happy.

This keyboard provides an exceptional auditory experience and has performed admirably over the past 18 months, warranting a five-star rating. However, the 2.4 GHz wireless mode has recently ceased functioning, the cause of which remains undetermined. Despite this issue, the keyboard's functionality and the engaging screen features merit a 4.5-star overall assessment. Improved software responsiveness would enhance the user experience.

Shadow X keyboard is a great value for the $40 that I paid for it. Nice looking board, solid 2.4 and Bluetooth hookup. Had to download the software to make some key re-assigns, change the RGB variation, and update the screen to my local time. Pretty easy. As expected the "Bluebird" switches it came with are terrible. Quickly swapped them out for some Duroc Burgandy Tactiles that I had around (planning to mostly type on the board). Board has a nice feel and look and is reasonably thocky. Not a custom CNC aluminum chasis or anything, but for $40 you can't go wrong.

I use this keyboard for work. I hotswapped the keys out for some akko silent switches and this keyboard has been great. Switching between the 2.4ghz/blueooth/wired is very easy with the knob and the keyboard itself doesn't feel to heavy when I have to bring it to work in my backpack. I like having the little display even though it doesn't really serve to much of a purpose I just have a small graphic that I uploaded via the software. The software is kinda clunky and isn't the easiest to use, but the keyboard itself makes up for it. As someone who has used the nuphy and the gmmk2 I would have to say this keyboard for the price is very good. It's not as solidly built as the other two, but it functions great. Hot swappable is always a plus for keyboards and for sub 100 dollars this works great.

I've used this product for a couple weeks to avoid being biased about the way it looks and feels without proper testing. It turns out this has been a very good product from day one. It is a polished, well built keyboard. It feels heavy and properly designed with performance in mind. The multiple connection options - cable, wireless and 3xBT are a great feature for switching between devices. Keystrokes are comfortable and it feels great when typing as keycaps are stiff and won't move around under your finger. And you can replace the switches and caps to your preference. It has been working flawlessly so far. I would certainly recommend this product for its current price and as one of the best options below 100$.
