Easy to use but material not good

I actually like to use this melon ball tool. However the other end of the balling tool is a cutting tool, and it has a little guard on it. Which is fine when it’s in the drawer, but while using this tool the guard constantly comes off exposing the cutting edge to my hand. It’s not sharp enough to actually cut me, but it keeps poking me, which isn’t ideal. It would have been better I suppose if it faced the other way? But either way, I don’t use the melon Baller anymore because of this. The other tools however I still make use of, I’ve just replaced the melon Baller with another similar one without a cutting tool at the other end.

The tip for the cutting too comes off too easy I cut my fingers

I like she scraper that removes the fruit from the rind, however the sharp end even with the shield on the end of the melon baller is a strange design. It digs into my skin and is uncomfortable to use. I purchased this specifically for the melon baller. Will be purchasing one at the dollar store instead.
