L**!
My 2 3/4 year old grandson loved it!
However, he was not able to wind the airplane himself. The wind up knob is in a tight area and rather difficult to turn even for adults. But he loved the airplane "flying" along the pages. I liked the uniqueness of the book although I do feel it is expensive for what you receive. Gave it five stars because he loved it!Give him another 6 to 9 months or so and I believe he'll be able to work it on his own. Needs fine motor skills.

Love love love this book
Love love love this book. I bought it for a 2 yr old that I nanny for and both her parents are pilots.Mom and dad loved the book too. I will definitely look into the other books they offer. She loved the wind up plane and the tracks to let it run on. I like that it explained everything in detail.

What a fun book
This book is HUGE!! I gave it to my 2-year nephew and it is difficult for him to carry the big thing, but he LOVES it! The plane rides around on the track and has a lot of words on the inside. Definitely for older ages, 2 may be too young.

Good content but not perfect
We got this for my 3-year old in preparation for his first airplane trip. I believe it really helped him get prepared for what was going to happen, and the trip went very smoothly. He keeps asking to go on another airplane ride now. So the content is really good. The topics (one on each 2-page spread) are:1: "Preparing to Fly" - introduction to the family you will follow on their trip2: "Busy Airport" - arrive, go through security, ground crew, waiting lounge3: Overview of the ground operations at the airport. *This spread has a track4: "Flying High" - On the airplane, cockpit, flight attendant, take-off, service5: A map of the world with major airports. *This spread has a track6: "Landing the Plane" - Control tower, landing, taxi, deplaning7: An overview of the airport from start to finish. *This spread has a track.I have three minor complaints. #1 is that you have to put something under the left-hand page when you open it so that it will stay flat, otherwise the wind-up plane will not climb up the slope. #2 is that the way the plane is designed after my son winds it up, he brings it to the starting position but it's hard to keep the wheels from moving so by the time he's set it's almost done running. #3 is that it's not very sturdy, the map of the world pages are already separating out after using it for maybe 10 times (I think this is partly because of the first problem mentioned).Anyway these problems are small and because the content is so good and it did its job I would still recommend it.

Fun and different
Our 2-year old loves this book. It's got tracks that run through several pages, following the story of a little boy who's going on a plane ride. The wind-up toy moves on those tracks. This book (or the variations of it) have become one of our go-to gifts for other kids.
