What Was the Great Chicago Fire?

My son wasn’t into reading. I found these books and he loves them. They are nice history lesson too! I highly recommend these books if you’re looking for something different for your child.

Bought this for my friends daughter and she loves it. She’s 10.

This book is wonderful. I was reading a bedtime story to my grandson and the book I was reading mentioned Mrs. O'Learys cow and I asked him if he knew about that. He is only 5 and naturally he didn't. I started explaining about the fire. He was so interested. He kept asking questions and didn't want to go to sleep. When he woke up the next morning, he kept asking his parents about it. So I found this book on Amazon and ordered it. It was perfect. It told the story in words he understood. I highly recommend this book.

This is excellent. I bought a ton of Who Is books for homeschooling. My 8 yr old hates reading. I tried to get books I thought he might find interesting. He read this one in a day, which is probably the most he ever read. I stopped reading what I was reading and read it with him because it was that interesting.

I love this series. I have taught history for years, and these little books have still taught me so much I didn't know before. The Chicago Fire is one I just finished. Outstanding bit of research and explanation. The side bars are also outstanding. I have asked students to read them and they enjoyed them, too. They add a depth to history which simply is impossible in texts.

I love this series of books. Great for homeschooling. Great for young students. But also great as a starting point for people or things they want to learn more about.

These books are the greatest idea. My young granddaughter has learned so many historicalfacts that she is able to play trivia with the adults

Although the content of the book is good for my 4th grade students, I am not happy that the cover of the book was bent in the upper corner. A new book should be in perfect condition.
