Best source for coin magic
This is quite simply the best single source for real coin manipulation (compared to 'automatic' effects that work out of the box. J.B. Bobo (the name was spelled Beaubeaux when his grandfather came to America, but no one was sure how to pronounce it) was both a great coin magician and a collector of other people's effects, and this book contains them all, including the moves he invented, such as the Bobo Switch. It's not always easy to learn coin palms and sleights from a book, but both the descriptions and the illustrations are excellent. At least in my case, what I haven't learned hasn't been the author's fault, but rather my needing to practice more.A lot more.

So good I bought it twice
I bought this book years ago. Somehow over several moves I managed to lose my copy of it. This book is a great introduction to coin magic. The book begins with basic concealments. Next it goes over basic and advanced vanishes. It then uses these techniques to teach several hundred tricks There is a full range of tricks from the beginner to the advanced. The only criticism I have is some of the pictures are not the clearest. I got around this by going to Youtube and looking up videos of the techniques. This worked very well.

Only book you need
The only coin book you will need for a very long time. Want to learn coins? This is the way to start.

Not for younger kids
My 10 year old like card and coin tricks. My dad was looking for a gift for him and thought this would be perfect. The book is written for an older audience - dry delivery, clearly written by an experienced coin shark (is there such a word?) . Reads like a reference text. Does not draw the attention of my 10 year old, and so didn't work for us. But, the content itself seems fabulous to me - a very exhaustive collection of old time tricks with excellent descriptions for those attempting to learn the tricks.Saving for when he gets older - definitely worth saving.Enjoy!

a good thing to destress with
Got this as a gift for my boyfriend. Thought it would be a small book and because he likes to fidget with his hands, a good thing to destress with. Book is actually fairly large and full of tricks. Way more than I would have imagined! I love it, definitely makes it a better deal than I thought I was getting. Very pleased with this purchase.

Took me a year of casual coin holding to get comfortable with the classic Palm
This is the bible on the subject. I'm still a newbie. Took me a year of casual coin holding to get comfortable with the classic Palm. But I'm taking a patient approach and not rushing things. It will take me years to get through this book but The descriptions are really good with decent photos. For newbies like myself (I'm a year in but casually learning), I also recommend getting the DVD or download video of "In the Beginning There Were Coins" by Jay Noblezada. Great teacher and not only shows the moves but shares but the pitfalls. Love love loved this DVD.Another good DVD is Metal by Eric Jones.Be patient and put in the time. It was all worth it first time I did a classic vanish to friends. And that's child's play. Enjoy!

Something like this is a must have for any magician..
If Shin Lim and Boa magic along with Sacred Riana knew coin sleights from this particular book they would know what to do with a rabbit out of a hat trick, while working in the circus.

Great book, in great condition. Fast delivery.
I bought this book for my granddaughter. The author did a very good job illustrating and explaining the magic tricks. My eleven-year-old grandchild is very pleased with it. And the delivery was sooner than expected. Thank you!
