Phenomenal
I'm new to Apple products, at least since 2007 when I had probably a 6th generation iPod classic.I've had an iPhone for the first time and had it less than a month, but I'd heard good things about these headphones. I've watched many reviews, read many reviews, and spent a lot of time thinking about whether I want to replace my PowerBeats Pro and my Bose QC35ii headphones simultaneously. The Airpod Pro 2 would then become my catch-all headphones for everything - travel, working out, and so on. That and my wife, who hates in-ear headphones, has been eyeing up my Bose headphones ever since she tried them on a plane a year ago.I pulled the trigger on these, as you have probably guessed, to compliment my shiny new iPhone and I'm glad I did.The combination of Lossless audio for Apple Music and the audio clarity these Airpods provide is insane. I'm hearing things in tracks I've listened to for 20+ years that I'd never heard before. The presence is phenomenal. There isn't an overabundance of bass, everything hits just right, in my opinion.Next up, extra features you don't get with similarly priced headphones of this style:Gesture control is not something I ever really plan on using generally, however, with these, something about it just makes it feel normal. Slide up and down to adjust the volume. Press once to pause or play, and hold the press to cycle through different noise control settings.Speaking of noise control, I use transparency mode when I'm out and about walking so I'm also aware of my surroundings. It's quite surreal actually, it's almost like you don't have headphones in and it's just music following you around. I use adaptive sometimes, but I'm not quite sure how that one works properly. I'd use the full noise cancellation in loud spaces, it does an amazing job, maybe even better than the Bose headphones.Add these to what is probably more of a gimmick than anything, but the motion-tracked "spatial stereo" - which while I feel is a gimmick, is a gimmick I love - just adds an extra layer, especially on top of transparency mode. You can be sitting there, hearing a lot of your surroundings, and when turning your head, it's like you're turning away from the source of the music - the only thing a little jarring with this, is that the source is always in front of you, no matter what. If you turn around, it's still there in front of you, which feels a little unnatural.Call quality is a bit iffy in my opinion, on both the receiving of the call and what the caller hears. I've read something about noise isolation and there being some kind of setting to improve this, I may have to have a look into this. Overall it works well enough when in a quiet room, but outside I just get complaints of not being able to hear me. Still, it's a step above anything I've had before where calls were nigh on impossible to the point I wouldn't even attempt because I knew it'd immediately start with complaints.Battery life seems good enough, but I'm hammering it with the spatial audio and transparency modes instead of having them off. I'm not getting the 6 hours from this, I'm more likely to get about 3-4 hours. I've had them on for a couple of hours as I speak and they are at 56%. I could see them lasting close to or maybe more than 6 should I turn these features off.The case is good enough - I don't know if the lid is strong enough to withstand being on a lanyard that might get chucked around a bit. I don't plan on keeping mine this way but I did get a cover to protect the case. I'm genuinely considering getting a lockable one to be on the safe side. The case also being MagSafe and having wireless charging is great - it charges pretty quickly, and charges to the Airpods themselves quickly too.Would I recommend these? At the risk of sounding like an Apple fanatic (I'm not, I don't get along with Macs and plan on sticking with Garmin for my watches), I would absolutely recommend these.

Very good Hearing Aid function
So, I bought these to be used only as hearing aids as I already have what I considered good earpods. After initially doing the Apple hearing test the results indicated a moderate hearing loss in my right ear and moderate in my left ear, however I actually have severe loss approaching profound loss in my right ear meaning I can not hear peoples voices at all, so Apples description of moderate was inaccurate in my non expert opinion but the actual audiogram results were, I would say accurate. I very nearly returned them!!! After playing around with settings for about an hour I was able to hear speech from my left ear that was crisp and clear and really well defined, I could now follow a proper conversation! My right ear however was beyond help for speech but helped considerably on balancing sound out by improving some of the frequencies I could hear, I can now listen to stereo music again and find it enjoyable, so much better than my £350 previous earbuds!. 25 years ago I spent over £4,000 on top end (non digital i believe) custom hearing aids that simply did not work and they would have sat in a drawer! (company refunded me the money) these earbuds though, they actually work, I cant believe it really as I only paid £179 for them on offer! Also would like to point out they don't whistle, they are comfortable for a few hours at a time and battery lasts half the day (I might buy a second pair to swap out when battery runs out as these are so very cheap compared to hearing aids) I include my Apple hearing test picture so you can compare to see if they would help with your hearing impairment. So to conclude, these are the best earbuds I have ever heard and excellent hear aids for moderate hearing loss with even a noticeable improvement in certain frequencies for severe hearing loss.
