Sometimes the past is not what you remember

I recall my father owned an LP from Demis Roussos, which I had heard several times as a kid; I still recall how impressed I was with Demis' clear, harmonically rich and expressive voice. I recently decided to buy this collection on CD, in good hope that this is a remaster, potentially of better quality. Unfortunately, it's not the case, but that's OK!This collection contains some of Demis' best, classic songs. If you don't mind the audio quality being as good or as bad as it was at the time the songs were first recorded and mixed, I can highly recommend it.However, if you are looking for a remaster that benefits from modern audio workflow/technology, you'd better look elsewhere. In some songs, Demis' voice is buried under the instruments, in others it's affected by (unintended) distortion. Having said that, most songs sound good enough and definitely worth listening to again, and again, and again!

A great cd all the hits and more, brought back great memories of a magnificent singer

If you are someone like me, who has a vast audiophile library, this is a great addition.

es sind Lieder dabei wo nicht immer so gut sind aber sonst in Ordnung

Con el cd1 no he tenido ningún problema, pero el cd2 salta en la canción 13 y en la 19 se engancha y no se puede escuchar. Una pena porque es un buen recopilatorio, aunque yo habría puesto alguna canción en español

Toujours le même plaisir d'écouter ce chanteur qui a su nous charmer avec sa voix si envoûtante et ses merveilleuses paroles pleines de tendresse et d'amour.
