Sulwhasoo Ultimate S Cream: Hydrates, Visibly Firm, Anti-aging

I absolutely love the overnight mask this company makes but this moisturizer really did not impress me. I'm going to use the whole package because it was so pricey but Sunday Riley's Ice does a much better job calming and moisturizing my skin for a 1/3 of the price. I use this moisturizer at night over my retin a and it's just not hydrating enough. If you have normal or combination skin this product will probably work great for you but if you need that extra hydration I'd look elsewhere (their overnight mask is awesome though, totally worth the investment)

REVISED REVIEW: After a few months of using the cream, I've gotten used to the smell. It works great! Put it on in the evening and wake up with beautiful skin! Orginal Review: It's a decent cream. First, the face cream. It's creamy and on the thick side. It works pretty good; however, the smell is awful. It has a powder smell that reminds me of a bathroom smell. I'm not sensitive to smells, but this one is definitely not my cup of tea. I usually put it on before bed and I hate smelling like bathroom power. On the other hand, the eye cream is nice and supple. It's thick and you have to rub it in. It works good and I love it. It has a light scent that is barely noticeable.

Now, I picked up this cream for my wife and her feedback is positive. That's right ladies, happy wife, happy life, I know! After using this for a short spell in her skin care routine, she said its an amazing find! The cream claims, to rejuvenate your skin while keeping it feeling luxurious! Personally, we believe the scent has a pleasant light berry scent (Gensing) but, not sweet like other scented lotions. It reminds her of a more affordable day cream, she has by L'Oreal. The texture and scent are very similar. But, this one seems a bit heavier on the skin after applying. Maybe, this one is just more "decadent". Also, it remained pretty thick even after a short wait for absorption and prefers a lightweight day cream. She would reserve this for her night time skin care. I mean, especially at the price! Let's talk about the retail presentation now. The packaging is very heavy duty, and reminds me of a cool piece of clay pottery. It comes with a little plastic spatula for preventing cross contamination. However, most likely she'll just use her finger lol. We do love that you can just pop out the insert when it's empty as they offer refills for a cheaper price. Unlike other companies, where you must repurchase the entire product and container. Get the magnifying glass out, to read the ingredients. We would appreciate, if the packaging had made the list of ingredients, possible to read. The tiny font is printed so tightly together and with such a light ink, it's not possible without a magnifying glass. If you're mindful of what's in your body products, you will have a bunch to read up on. This cream has a ton of ingredients listed. If your skin care routine is about sensory and luxury the Ultimate S Cream could be a good investment for you. But for us considering the cost and the amount you're purchasing, she'll most likely reserve it for occasional use when her skin is craving an extra sip of moisture.

I don't know if I could ever be convinced to spend $400 on any skin care product. But I'll give it a go if I get to review it. Unfortunately these reviews usually convince me that I'm right to not spend that kind of money. My first beef with this is that you can't read the ingredients and they are not given on the listing. I'm a Massage Therapist and I'm very fussy about what I put on my skin. So I automatically dock a star if they don't put the ingredients on the listing and I will dock another star if I can't read them on the box. If you look at the photo I have included it's almost impossible to read even when you blow it up in the photograph. I finally had to resort to getting a magnifying glass out to read the ingredients. If I'm going to pay $400 for a skin care product it better darn well have amazing ingredients. Unfortunately, very few people that review these things actually seem to know or care about ingredients. Your skin is your largest organ, and you absorb what you put on it. So it makes sense to know what you are putting on (and thus in) your body. The first ingredient after the (normal) "water" (normal for most skin care items) is Butylene Glycol. An artificial ingredient that does help to retain moisture but it's really a cheap option. Ingredient #2 is Triethylhexanoin, which is a synthetic mixture of Glycerin and 2-ethylhexanoic acid...while ingredient #3 is... GLYCERIN. Any time a product has Glycerin in the first few ingredients I know it's a cheap made cream. About the only decent active ingredient that I respect in this is Squalene. There's a bunch of extracts but they are at the very end, so they have minimal effect on this cream. While it feels nice going on it definitely has that tacky feeling that you get when a product has too much Glycerin in it so I would only use this as a night cream. I might repurchase if this was around $30. I certainly will not re-purchase at the current price.

It does has a small amount for the price but I get it , it smells amazing I really love the smell , feels great in my skin and I did notice that some of my very very fine lines are starting to disappear, and my face looks better , I wish I had done a before picture for comparison but honestly is very small amount of the lines that have disappeared and it’s only on the very very fine lines that are gone but I do feel like me face looks a little bit better I been using it for about 3 weeks and i already noticed a difference. I like the container it comes in is pretty sturdy and it has a nice weight to it . , I got it on the Amazon review program so I only had to pay the taxes and the cream is a little to expensive for me to keep buying but if you can afford it definitely want to get it , worth the price
