performance is the same or better than much more expensive brands
This one is the best performer for the price. I had 2 of them in each car and one failed recently. It has 10 X UTC4558 IC chips and one or more failed. They are cheap to buy and I replaced all 10 of them and now it works great again. I still bought this one as a spare just in case but I had same problems with 3 different models of Soundstream Bass Machines which are almost double and triple the prices. And this one is the only one which goes down to 25 Hz boost availability. It works great with my 15" R series ported sub. It is not about SPL but soft lows in your car. Many friends would say the sound in my car is like in home sound system. I am proud of that.
