As some of my friends, family and clients know, I have been studying and taking action by applying a rather intriguing form of marketing that is highly effective when used properly. Of all of my inspirations, I have become most fond of a copywriting and marketing legend named Gary Halbert that unfortunately passed away back in 2007. So anytime I see something new by the family, I get excited about it.This new book written by his son Bond Halbert has an interesting twist on editing copy. I honestly believe the headline I wrote:"The People Who Read This Book Will Inevitably End Up With Better Copy! Substantial Marketing Results! & More $$ in Their Pocket!"I am not some big copywriter or anythingI am just a small business that simply wants to get the right message out to the clients I do and want to do business with. In years past, I soon found the actual words one would use in their marketing message: such as a sales letter, a web site, and email and etc is what the industry calls copywriting. I could have the best service in the world. But if I couldn't get my message out there correctly, pickings were slim for a long time. So I started to learn and study it the best I could. Using reputable resources like this has made all of the difference for me.Everyone seems to have a book out now about writing copyAlthough some of them are good, this is the first one that has caught my attention about editing and it does it very well! I looked at the sample before purchasing and as soon as I seen the chapters and started going through it, I knew right away I had to get the book and did. It does me good to be humbled sometimes. I noticed things I was in need of working on before even reading. It's the best $10 I have spent this year! It was a no brainer purchase for me.Everything Bond has done in the past has been fanatical!The Boron Letters book Bond updated with his commentary, that his dad Gary Halbert wrote, should be recommended reading for every single student before being allowed to graduate from high school. It has a near A to Z education of marketing. And it also gives eminent advice on leading a healthy, prosperous life; which by the way is not fully measured in terms of money. Money helps. But what good is it if you are not going to live long enough to enjoy it now and later.You can probably imagine I absolutely could not wait......to get into this new book of his and see what it had in store for me. I get excited about the small things in life and I must say this was something that perked me right up.I don't want to ruin the surpriseBut the FREE Bonus inside is worth just as much as the book, if not more. If I had to pick a single word to describe it, complimentary would be what I would use.jfyi: I did not get a free copy of this book to write a review and I don't know Bond personally. He wouldn't know my name from anyone else's. I just thought the book was worthy of a great review because it is truly a great book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Simple read about the most important elements of copywriting
This book is a simple read and captures a treasure of intrinsic copywriting information.This book is a great read for everyone in search to upgrade their copywriting- and overall writing skills.

Is This Even Legal?
I just made a couple of tweaks for my writing described in this book and...The results are astonishing.You see, I'm a beginner copywriter and up until now, I had a real trouble of coming up with hardly anything.I would find myself hitting over my head for hours trying to write even one paragraph that would be at least one bit good.After reading this book I am now able to write copy that reads like a masterpiece with little to no effort at all. I know I will come back to it later and edit it to a near perfection with a couple of tricks described in this book.This book will not only make you a better editor. It will also make you a LOT better writer in the first place. I was actually a little shocked at the amount of value it brings.This book will show you how to make your writing easier and more pleasant to read. Just follow these step-by-step, easy to apply tips & tricks described in this book and your readers will fall through your copy like through a greased slide.The Halbert Copywriting Method Part III is a perfect gift for anyone talking in a written word. From writing emails, to short stories, VSLs or A list copywritings, this book will increase the readership of your writing and will make you a better writer. I recommend this masterpiece to anyone dealing with any kind of communication with a writen word.As for me, this is the best $17 ever spent.Can't wait to read The Halbert Copywriting Method Part I & Part II.

"The Dirty Work"
You know what the dirty work is ... it's the necessary work which provides the foundation for the rest of our life.I suspect no one has written (much) about editing in copywriting because it's considered the "dirty work"...But the work of editors have been to take raw gemstones and make them shine ... certainly true in the case of James Joyce ... and a recent movie release centers around a famous editor, and one of his very well-known clients......and those were for the novels of reading leisure...and when attention spans were much,much longer...A direct marketer, a copywriter, a marketer...has little time ... vanishing less time...to capture the attention of their visitors ... whether it's an email, a salesletter, a VSL, - and even those forms demanding even MORE succinctness such as the various forms of text-limited PPC campaigns...Bond leads the way...and not only shows you how to EASILY make your sales copy easier to read, faster...and actually to have a bit of fun in the process as you follow his guide and turn your mediocre or even good copy into copy your visitors will actually read...read more of ... and, as I like to say...all the way down to the buy button...I'd heard rumors about this book for a long time...even heard hints about the contents...and have eagerly been waiting for this...and now it's here...It's been well worth the wait.Pick this up if you know editing is necessary -- but hate the task -- or simply want a powerful way to get more sales by what, prior to this contribution, was painful and filled with incompleteness and error ... a great roadmap for anyone who writes, needs or uses copy...

Interesting book from the son of possibly the greatest copywriter ever
Bond Halbert is the son of Gary Halbert, possibly the greatest copywriter to have ever put words to paper. Not only did he start learning from his father as a child, he is a successful copywriter in his own career.The author says that time on a copywriting assignment should be split 1/3 research, 1/3 drafting the hook, headline, bullets, offer and everything else in the copy and 1/3 editing.This is the only book I know that looks at the polishing process and that makes it an important read.A lot of this is common sense - make it easy to read, short words, short sentences, short paragraphs, give scanners the chance to get a summary of the main message etc. The problem with common sense is that it's easy to overlook.It dropped a star because I'd have liked to have seen a more systematic process and it doesn't cover substantiating claims with proof or have any completeness or consistency check.About my book reviews - My goal is to help you to find the best business advice. I aim to be a tough reviewer because the main cost of a book is not the money to buy it but the time needed to read it and absorb the key messages. 4 stars means this is a good to very good book.Paul Simister, a business coach who helps business owners who are stuck, get unstuck.
