I was looking for some ref 1/4 tubing, all the other listing were for complete 50 ft coil. I saw that one but even if it said for refrigeration, the picture didn't show that the coil was capped. I bought anyway because if was way cheaper than a full coil. I was please to see it capped at the end, it was even shipped in a shrink plastic making it even more sealed.

The 1/2" OD coil arrived damaged, with 2 feet of the outermost ring crumpled. After cutting off the unusable section, I attempted to straighten out a 30-inch piece, but the tubing kinked and squared off even when gently uncoiling a short section of it on a flat surface.After struggling to get a minimally round section, I bent two 90-degree angles using a ratcheting tubing bender designed for HVAC work. When I went to slide 1/2" flare nuts onto each end before flaring, the tubing was still too squared off, preventing the nuts from sliding more than 1/2 inch onto the ends.This tubing is far too soft and prone to kinking, making it unusable for bending or flaring. I'm now attempting a refund even though I've cut it —it’s just so disappointing.For nearly the same price as brand-name options, this should be much better. Would not recommend.

The item I ordered was 3/16" but it was not 3/16" OD, it was closer to 7/32, and while you wouldn't think 1/32" of an inch would make a difference, it does when you are trying to fit fittings on the copper, and flare the ends.
