I purchased this item so I could show off my newly hatched chicks at a work event! This item worked perfectly. The box was simple to put together and allows enough space for all three chicks. The chicks are now 3 weeks old and still have room. The light was also easy to attach and the convenient dimming bulb made it easy to adjust the temperature. All you need is a brooder thermometer sold separately.The only thing to be aware of is the bottom of the brooder is wood. I simply put a few pieces of paper towel and some pine chips in it to prevent any icky messes. This also made it easy to clean!

The brooder was ease to assemble. It is important to review the process before tighten screws in place. The light piece does not have pre-drilled screw opens. It is import to have a strong Philips screw driver to create necessary holes. However, once put together it works great for the new baby chicken and maintaining a warm environment.

The box is useful for small birds they need a strong light like button quail. Sadly the bulb wire connection gives issue. I have three and it doesn’t work in two after a few months

Cute box in theory, however, it does not work for chickens. The box got wet from their water and swelled so much the plexiglass broke within 24 hours of using. Spend your money somewhere else.

It's very small and not as well made as the other one I have, but it's ok. I wouldn't put more than two chicks in it.

Nice but need to watch temperature. Need thermometer.
