Really like this mini anvil, great for doing small work on. I ended up replacing my original one because of a defect in the casting, but that's not really a problem. It's part of the casting process, not all of them come out perfectly. Aside from that though, it's a nice little anvil. It has a good shape to it with room to do small pieces. The horn on this anvil is actually round unlike one of their other models which has more of an elliptical horn, I prefer the round one. I did a ball bearing test and the bounce was pretty good on it. Personally, I chose to sand the paint off but that's a preference. Overall a great design at a great price. I definitely recommend this over some of the other "starter" anvils that are out there. I was able to pick this one up on sale for cheaper than I could have gotten a chunk of mild steel.

Very sturdy! Though i had to take a file to some of the edges. It had a few burrs and scratched my table when I pushed it aside.

Mount it before use cause 22lbs seams more like 100lbs when landing on foot. Then don't get mad and slam it down on stump cause it took me hours to be able to walk and talk........ my poor junk

Finally found a decent sized anvil that does the job for a great price. Works great and is very sturdy.

It's small, but it gets the job done. It's a good jewelers anvil or even a starter anvil for someone just starting out in smithing

Arrived on time and as expected. It had a bit of surface rust but no serious problems.

This is a first-class item for the price. The top was rough (~50 grit finish), so I finished it with 120, then 400 grit sanding disks on a random-orbital sander. Now it's great for all sorts of fine metalwork. Doesn't dent even forming spring-stainess-steel wire. You can see it passing a bearing-ball test on YouTube. I got the 20# size. I keep it on prominent display in my living room. :-)

This is a quality anvil...met my expectations...would definitely recommend it!

I use this for minor repairs to my HMB/Buhurt (steel/titanium armour). It's heavy enough that I can get the horn into a helmet and peen down rivets without any trouble. It's light enough that it can go on and off the shelf between uses. The surface was flat and it's been smacked dozens of times with a mallet without any serious dents. For the price, I can't imagine doing any better than this.
