Nice Whip for Multi-band Use
I got this to try on my Quansheng K6 radio and it has worked well. The whip is good weight vs flex ratio. It stays fairly straight without adding too much heft to the radio, and bends easily while returning to straight. I haven't gotten a chance to sweep it with my analyzer yet, so not sure how well it's tuned. It feels a little bit on the short side for 2m band, but seems to work fine there. I haven't transmitted with it on other bands. It receives well on bands I've tried listening - 2m, NOAA weather, FM broadcast, etc.

Great improvement in radio gain
I purchased the Radtel antenna for my PJ2+ aviation transceiver. I needed a better antenna to pickup my local airports. This antenna has the proper frequency range of 108-136Mhz, and gain. I needed to purchase an adapter connection from a BNC to a SMA. I was pleasantly surprised that my gain was greatly increased with this new antenna. The antenna & adapter makes switching between antennas easy as needed for high gain and low gain. Low gain antenna at an airport and higher gain nautical miles away. I bought this antenna mainly for monitoring, so I haven’t tested it for SWR values. The antenna is long and thin, but appears to be well constructed. With the BNC/SMA adapter it is easy to stowaway in my flight bag.

Good antenna, well made and the $price$ is right!
I have a TalkPod A36 Pro Intl version and I have this mostly for the ability to listen to planes in the local area and occasionally listen to the locals on repeaters. This antenna even though tuned for Aviation Bands 108-136mhz which it still allows better than stock antenna's reception on the higher bands. When it comes to aviation bands on my A36 it is definitely a vast improvement over the stock antenna for sure. It is much longer but is very flexible and can bent down to fit in a case or removed easily. This antenna gets plans communicating with ATC at a distance maximum in my area of over 80 miles away. I cant hear the local airports tower (rarely at night inside) but if I go outside the airport is about 6 miles away and I can make out the ATIS as well as the tower and departure and clearance delivery channels without issue. The old antenna could never hear the tower or ATIS so there is a vast improvement with this antenna. Great Buy fast Shipping and Works great you cant go wrong! NOT just for RADTEL Radios at all. Fits most handheld.

Good for Airband - might not fit radio
Well made with a nicely coated whip and metal base. Base collar may interfere with the antenna threading completely into some radios (like the Radtel 490 I bought this for) leaving the radio quite deaf. Tested against a 17” unloaded whip antenna on two identical radios, this aircraft antenna showed 1.5-2 S-units higher in signal and picked up some signals that didn’t break squelch on other receiver. Analyzer shows good swr in part of the aviation band but for 2m or 70cm it’s unusable.

Valuable upgrade
I have compared numerous dual band long whip styles on various HTs. For good performance with better gain (about 3 dB) than the usual 6 or 7 inch rubber duck and lower SWR, this ended up the best of the group I tested. There may be better out there but for now, this is my favorite. de WC4R

Poor Antenna
This Radtel antenna has very low gain, doesn't perform anywhere as well as the Nagoya antennas

If you don't mind long antennas then definitely pick this up for VHF AIR
Very good VHF AIR antenna. The VNA sweep confirms this as well. It's very usable from 118mhz to 137mhz without issue. It's under 2:1 SWR for the 90% of that range. Highly recommended. It is a SMA-F connector so you may need an adapter but it's worth it. It's a long antenna but thicker than the HAM versions. It's knurled connector makes identifying it very easy.

Put to shame by my stock antenna
I bought this antenna for better reception of air band on my Baofeng UV-36. Long story short, this antenna performs worse than the stock antenna that came with my UV-36 in basically every way possible. If it does receive signal (big if), the reception is choppy and overall sounds like garbage. I have a dual band whip antenna that’s not even tuned for air band. Upon comparing this antenna and that one in the exact same spot (with line of sight with my local airport), they both compare about the same. Maybe I got a lemon, I don’t know. All I know is for the low price of $7 I got something that performed worse than options I already had. Learn from my mistake, save your money.

Fantastica e non é solo per airband! Con un'unica antenna sono a posto!
