A little is a lot
This is an excellent product. It only needs a spot on the skin to do the job.

Oud Faten Attar. Very potent and a glorious smell.
I have a background in aromatherapy, and some very brief training in perfumery and I have mixed a lot of fragrances for myself over the years. This fragrance oil is POTENT! And it’s glorious. It’s such a nuanced blend, I can’t even begin topick out the different notes. Given the tiny (6ml) bottle and the glass dauber, and the potency of the oil, it would be easy to over do it and end up with a headache inducing amount of fragrance (and go through the bottle quickly), so I decided to make this into an eau de toilette. I mixed the 6ml bottle into 50ml of pure perfumers alcohol, so just over a eau de toilette strength dilution. It’s still more potent than any other perfume I have. I’d say this is most certainly a unisex fragrance and so will be fighting with my husband over who gets to use it, as he also thinks that it’s one of the nicest fragrances he’s smelled. The little bottle is very pretty so I’ll be repurposing that for something. The box it came in also makes it gift-worthy, although sadly I won’t be keeping the box - these just isn’t the room to hold on to packaging. I do think that this is rather pricey for 6ml of perfume oil, even if it is 100% pure, but the brand is pricey in general and known for quality fragrances.

Too expensive
It should costs less and doesn’t last longer

Beautiful product, strong, lasting scent - unisex
I was fascinated to try this very special product and attracted by the description of floral notes mixed with sandalwood, it sounded and, is exotic. The perfume comes beautifully presented in a gift box - looks exotic and, perfect for a gift if you know someone who likes an exotic, musky, intensive perfume. You apply the perfume by way of the glass dropper and, it is slightly oily which I think is great and, not only enhances the scent but seems to make it last longer. In the olden days, you could buy a perfume oil and it lasted so much longer than the toilet water we all pay a fortune for now. A little of this product will go a long way. The scent - hard to describe, I don't detect 'floral notes' - I am a L'Air du Temps user and this comes nowhere close. I am also a 'Caleche' fan, depending on what I am wearing, the time of day the depth of this perfume starts to come closer, but in no way smells the same. This product has an exceptionally musky scent. Now it has lingered, I can detect 'sandalwood'. This scent is not at all unpleasant but, may not be to the taste of everyone. It is not a 'sweet' smell, to me anyway, more one that says you mean business if that makes sense. I also think this scent could be worn by either sex. So, if you are't keen, pass it on to your partner. If you are the sort of person who loves a strong, sultry, musky, exotic statement perfume that will linger when you leave a room, then this is the one for you. A tiny amount goes a long way so it represents excellent value. Choosing a perfume is such a personal matter and it will not smell the same from one person to another. This perfume is nothing like what I normally wear but, on a dark, warm night, dressed in a slinky frock, I reckon this is the scent I would go for. I have given 4* because it's not, for me, perfect but, it's very good.

Very long lasting scent
This is very nicely packaged, the box opening up to reveal a lovely little bottle of oud. The oil is applied by a glass stopper and you really only need the tiniest drop. I added one to the upper part of my hand near the bottom of the thumb as I find in this spot I get nice wafts of scent throughout the day, so always test in this place. Initially, even with the tiniest touch of oil I thought this might be a bit to strong for my taste, I think there is quite a strong lime or citrus scent that when you first apply it really stands out. But over the course of about an hour, the smell really settled and I found it quite lovely. A few hours later and it was even nicer and I could still smell it subtly while reading in bed, 6 hours after applying it. It is a very unisex scent, leaning towards the masculine, but definitely nice enough that I will happily continue to wear it. It is a small bottle as is usual with such oils, but it really will last a long time. So the whole product gets a thumbs up from me, the box is lovely, the bottle quite stunning and the scent itself is very good.

What can I say? I don't really like it
This is beautifully presented in a box with Arabic calligraphy decoration (I don't know what it says as I can't read Arabic), which folds open to reveal the tiny glass bottle mounted on a black velvet background. Unfortunately, the luxurious impression was somewhat marred for me by indications the bottle may have leaked. The box lid was stained at the exact place it rests over the bottle, and the bottle felt a little bit greasy/tacky on the outside. I don't think I got short measure of the perfume, as the bottle still looks pretty full, so it might simply be that there was slight spillage on the outside of the bottle before it was packaged. Nevertheless, it shouldn't happen. Perfume is such a subjective experience, varying even with the body chemistry of the wearer, that I feel sad and almost guilty to admit I don't much like it, as if it were my fault. For me, it has quite an abrasive, lemony opening, which is unfortunately reminiscent of household cleaners. After a time, it does calm down to be sweeter and softer, with more of the woody and resinous notes I was expecting, but I'm still not wowed by it. Ironically, I think it's the concessions to Western modernity that spoil this scent. They've tried to make it more appealing to Western markets, but in the process added notes that manufacturers of cleaning products also use to appeal to those same markets. In general, I like Arabian perfume, but I don't think this is a classic example. I would consider a more traditional blend from this same manufacturer.
