I knew the toolbox empty would be a little heavy but I wanted a high quality tool box. The shelves that unfold operate flawlessly. The paint appears durable. Interestingly, plastic feet are included and you have to epoxy the, on. It was very easy do do and now I won’t scratch a wood floor.

I'm a mobile mechanic. After looking at every other cantilever style box, finally one that is like they used to make em. Solid, keeps your tools dry. The rest are flimsy junk in my opinion. More money but a way better box.

A time saver. Just use it to move every where I need to move with more usable tools. Fit all I need. Design allow you to have more organized in order to be used. Excellent.

Talk about living up to expectations! I've been searching for some time for a good quality, metal toolbox for my husband, but the ones that I've found either don't look like they'd last a year or cost so much that they just aren't feasible. I did a lot of research before purchasing this, and was still a little apprehensive when I finally decided to order it. I was so very pleased when it arrived and just the weight of the box alone reassured me of the quality of this product.The cantilever design is perfect for my husband, since he has quick access to everything without having to dig. With plastic boxes, he would try to set the tray in the top of the box to achieve this, but no matter how many tools were it the bottom, the box would invariably tip over. Not so with this one! Great quality, very sturdy, and NO tipping! I am very pleased with my purchase and expect that it will last for quite some time to come.Do note that the box is plenty heavy on its own, and even more so when filled. It's not to the point that you can't carry it, but probably not something you'd want to have to lug around multiple times a day. If you're just moving tools from one location to another, and then will be stationary for a while, however, this box is perfect. My only wish is that it was available in black, but a bit of spray paint will take care of that should we ever decide it's worth the effort--lol!

I wanted a new Tombstone style toolbox, but did not quite have Kenndy Kit money. This appears to be a decent lower priced alternative, and with the 22" model on a nice discount I decided to pick one up.The box is fairly well sorted from a internal design point, and appears to be using 16-14 gauge steel. Latches are alright, nothing fancy but will get the job done. At this point unknown how well the crinkle brown finish will hold up over time.The box came with divider inserts and protectors for the bottom four corners, I was under the impression that it might also come with precut liners but alas it does not.Note that this is not a lightweight and once laden with tools this box will become fairly substantial weight-wise.The only major complaint I have so far is the shoddy quality control... on the backside of the box where the hinge meets the lid and the left rear side piece the spotwelds failed at some point. Whether this is because the QC at the factory is unfortunately nonchalant about how their products leave the door, or poor quality welds that failed afterwards during shipping I don't know. It does not affect the utility of the box- but for a brand-new toolbox that was disappointing. Good thing I got mine on sale.

Nice box

This Homak box is exactly like the old Kennedy Style cantilever boxes. I have loaded this box with tools and it is heavy...but I have no complaints about it. It is solid build quality and I don't worry about it being lugged around to multiple job sites every day. It just last. It is great being able to access everything with the top open. You won't find anything better in my opinion. I believe a metal tool box is better than a plastic one for durability sake.

This has been my primary underground drift box for the past three years and I finally have to retire it this year. It has a lot of moving parts, so that’s why it failed so soon (it get’s thrown, bounced and jounced for about ten hours a day), but those moving parts are what makes a cantilever box so handy.
