Cambridge IGCSE Accounting Student's Book (Cambridge International IGCSE)

Concise Accounting book.
Looks good, apart from being in dollars everywhere, covers the subject well, based on the first few chapters. Not windy.

Only get if you are happy with a 50% book...
This is a very good book, clearly explains everything and helps you check your understanding every step of the way.***BUT*** Just one problem is, that for some reason, not all answers to the end of chapter questions are given. Basically you can have 6 questions split in multiple parts and only have the answer to one part of one question, making it very difficult to know if your work is correct. It a matter of hoping and guessing you have answered questions correctly.. Such a pity that this otherwise great book failed to insert such an important part for the student...

Only answers for "starred" questions.
This seems to be the only book (along with the workbook) available for this course. It is not as clear and concise as the Frank Wood book for Edexcel. However the Edexcel exam can only be sat in international centres so being based in the UK the Cambridge IGCSE was our only option. The book is a bit confusing and disastrously has only answers for the starred questions at the end of the chapters. In chapter 1 this means that out of 4 questions only one is starred and so only this one has an answer in the back - why oh why??? The other answers don't seem to be available anywhere - the Cambridge University Press or CIE websites for example. I cannot see the logic behind this - a lot of CIE candidates will be working independently and rely on answers to evaluate and expand their understanding. Not impressed - but have no option. The workbook does seem to have answers thankfully for about 80% of the questions - in it the starred questions do not have answers - ahh! Expensive and not enough practice exercises that have answers.

Not all answers to questions are given to aid understanding ...
Not all answers to questions are given to aid understanding. Could be clearer. Had to buy another additional book unfortunately.
