As velvet hangers go, none of them are extremely sturdy. They just aren’t designed for heavy lifting. At least, not the ones I’ve come across. They're great for keeping clothes from sliding off and have notches for small straps. Perfect for dresses and uniquely styled sleeveless apparel. Also, they’re made to look good, sleek and classy and to give your closet an organized appearance (even if it isn’t so much:). Their thin design helps to cram more clothes on a rack while still keeping it neat. Anyway, these particular HOUSE DAY hangers are an excellent value at 50 under 20$ (at the time of my order). They are also the most durable ones I’ve used; those including some from an off-price department store and an Amazon brand set. I ordered they Gray and am happy that they’re not too light colored. The rose gold hardwear looks beautiful and matches the others I have. I didn’t inspect all 50, but only found small defects on about 5. Just small spots where the velvet rubbed off some, but 5 out of 50 isn’t bad! Altogether, looks very handsome. Also, the “Made in China” stamp is on the INSIDE of the hook. I don’t like when it’s printed on the outside; doesn’t look good next to the others, but that’s my own craziness. I am organizing our closet, so I ordered 50 for my clothes, meaning to move the 25 navy ones to my persons shirts. I did not realize that man had so many clothes! Ended up using most of the grays for his things and now I have to order another set for my clothes. I should just switch him some of my blush pink ones. I think blush and gray would alternate pretty nice, actually:). Overall, these HOUSE DAYs are a pretty solid brand of velvet hangers. Great value. For my next set I may order from a different Seller and will update this review with comparisons. Though I’m afraid maybe the gray of another brand won’t match these but I’ll go with it anyhow. Highly recommend these if you want to spruce up your closet or are sick of your clothes falling off other hangers. Or, just tired of looking at those random ugly plastic/store hangers.

These hangers are fantastic and I love them, clothes don't slide down the hanger and fall off. The velvet is soft but rough enough to keep the clothes staying put. The shoulders have a slight notch enabling string shoulders, camisoles or bras to stay in place. I'm a larger person wearing plus size clothing and it's difficult to find longer hangers to accommodate the larger size. These hangers are 17.5" and fit perfectly for the longer shoulder width without leaving a lump on the shirt where the hanger ended. The bottom rod of the hanger is covered in velvet and can keep pants that were paired with a shirt from sliding off the hanger like what happens all the time with a plastic hanger. They don't leave a crease line where the pants were folded over. They are ultra thin at .25" they take up less room than the typical plastic hangers allowing more room on the clothes rod. The hook can be rotated for easy access and is strong enough for heavier coats. Something to keep in mind, the hook is a little smaller/tighter for older clothes rods. They still work and fit, but are just a little bit tighter. Now days, this is pretty standard with all clothes hangers. Most of all, these hangers don't snap and break all the time like plastic hangers. I will be ordering more soon and replacing all the plastic hangers for these. If you're looking for a longer length hanger with quality craftsmanship that doesn't look cheap, I recommend the House Day 30 pack Velvet Hangers.

Great quality. Felt does not get onto your clothes when they’re hanging on the hanger. They came nicely wrapped in sets of 10 so you can use small bits at a time. They were sturdy, and the metal hook was firmly attached to the hanger frame itself. They look nice and the price is great.

These hangers are great. My blouses don’t slide off of them and they hold even big heavy sweaters and coats. I love the pink color! And the price is so much lower than in a store.

I like the color. I like that my wider-neck shirts don't fall down. These are fine for shirts or other light-weight clothes, but they bend so easily that I don't feel confident about putting heavier things - heavy sweaters or coats etc. - on them. I'd like for them to be just a little bit sturdier, then I could use them for more things. And it would be nice if the felt had a grain so that it would be easier to put things on the hanger, but still hard for things to fall off. As it is, they resist when I'm putting shirts on them.

We needed some more hangers at our house; ones that would not be flimsy and break easily. These ones work really good especially for my blouses that tend to fall off of regular plastic hangers. I like how sturdy they are and the extra stability of the velvet. It's also kind of fun that they come in different colors. Would definitely buy again!
