I think it was pretty good and flavorful. I did buy it when we couldn't find a vegan chicken bouillon around for a thanksgiving potpie. So, I bought it. It came a little late so my sibling whipped up her own vegan chicken seasoning. Honestly, I'm glad it arrived late. My sister's seasoning was far suitable for what I want in a pot pie. Orrington brand is good, but honestly, it reminds me of instant chicken flavored ramen, which is not the taste I care for when it comes to making gravy and pot pie, but that's just me. I'm glad this didn't end uo in my pot pie, but I will definitetly be using it with my rice soups though! If anyine is conscious about sodium or anything, I wouldn't recommend this. I guess it's not for those who are fearmongering over GMO either.

Really tastes like chicken broth despite being vegan. Used it in several recipes already including a Thai curry soup and chick pea pot pie soup and it worked well. Would buy again.

I’ve tried many different options, but this one is by far the most convincing. At first, I was only looking for something to use in rice pilaf. Since the broth plays a subtle role in that dish, other products came close, but this one was nearly identical to traditional chicken broth. It gave me the confidence to serve it to guests, knowing they would never guess it wasn’t made from real chicken. The flavor is so accurate that I now use it for chickpea noodle soup, my vegan version of chicken noodle soup. Every other product I tested had an “off” taste, but this one is spot on. When it briefly disappeared from the market, I was so disappointed. I’m thrilled that it’s available again. Lately, I’ve even been shredding super firm tofu and sautéing it with this broth base for a fantastic vegan version of shredded chicken. It has completely elevated my cooking.

My wife prefers to eat vegetarian so I tried this as a substitute for the Knorr chicken powder that I use for all-purpose flavor enhancement. It's quite good, it has a mild flavor and its taste is far less salty than the traditional chicken powder (despite it being primarily salt... this is NOT a low sodium food). Like many vegan replacements it does rely on a lot of salt and chemical flavor enhancers to bulk it out. You could possibly find a replacement by grinding salt and sugar with a variety of dried kitchen herbs but most of us don't have time for that. The downside is that it is more expensive than non-vegan alternatives but that's not unusual for these kinds of animal free products.

Excellent vegan beef broth. You would never know it was vegan if you didn’t look at the packaging. A staple in my house.

Great product for making Vegan Soups! I was cautious about making my recipes too salty, but after 24hrs my soup mellowed and was great! Wide mouth container makes it easy to scoop out with a tablespoon measure. Initially used making a split pea soup, I then added it to other soup recipes which gave all ‘depth’ of flavor. Versatile addition to your recipes. Sodium content decreases when you’re making a big pot of soup. I used 3 Tablespoons in a pot of 8 servings. No bad ingredients either.

Delicious. Mixed easily into my roux (for those who know what that is) and made an exquisite gravy. Also gave a great boost to pork and bean soup. A total winner.

I love this vegan broth base. When I can, I make vegetable broth but sometimes I find that I need to store more important things in my freezer, enter this vegan broth base. I can control the intensity by adjusting how much I add to my recipe. It’s not overly salty and has a nice taste. It definitely helps round out flavours for many dishes like soups, pot pie, gravy, etc..
