I used the smaler one to make holes for wooden stakes to support wood dividers for a garden border.It was very effective, by far easier than the trowel or spade alternative

Initially purchased this for planting daffodil bulbs, but have used it for prepping holes for small container saplings and shrubs and its so handy. Attached it to my battery drill and saved so much time.Managed to plant over 300 daffy bulbs in one day with no backache afterwards. Delighted with this product.

I was not expecting much when I bought this, however I needed to make 4-5 holes in chalk in my garden. It works and dug them. It took some time and I had to borrow a higher power drill (cordless drills won’t drive it) and I sharpened the point and leading edge of the auger with my angle grinder. This is probably pretty disposable as it’s already slightly more bent than it was and the quality of the steel doesn’t stay sharp but it did the job. My alternative was a hire auger which is costly.

Did the job I needed but it did slip out of the drill a few times. Needs better grip the part that goes onto the drill

With a large number of cassima bulbs to plant this auger speeds up the process. Will wait for Spring 2025 for the final result as hopefully bulbs show forth.Great to use in my De Walt handheld drill. Forward and reverse operation makes final filling in easy! A top coat of Strulch the topping for hopefully a colour ful bed of flowers.
