Delighted to finally have this great series in one DVD box set. My hero legend Sir David Jason plays Granville just like he did in the original series brilliantly. Only this time he is more like his miserly Uncle Arkwright as one day he did always say to him this shop will be yours one day. A great series written by Roy Clarke who of course wrote the original. Just a shame this great series had to end, mainly because of Covid. But we are still left with six great series,and Christmas specials.

I liked this dvd very much as it was in good condition and was delivered very promptly

A good follow up to Open All Hours, and I feel its also a tribute and goodbye to Ronnie Barker, Grenville is just as miserly as his old uncle.

I love it

I must admit to a preference for this to the original, but it couldn't have every happened without that wonderful show. The characters are all wonderful exaggerations to the faults we worry others will see in us.As for the actual DVD set Disc one's menus didn't work with a mouse, and disc 4(series 4) Episode 4 was a bit dodgy and needed re-starting a couple of times, hence not a '5' rating.

Huge fan of Ronnie Barker and the original series, and have wanted to see the remake for a long time. Was surprisingly good for a reboot, but felt more like a remake of Last of the Summer Wine in later seasons as they followed the lives of more of the townsfolk outside the confines of Arkwrights store and Granvilles schemes.

Very funny. At first we thought, nah, this is not for us, but since we got into the story line more, we started to like the comedy, fine acting and little plots everywhere, fine mockery and intelligent undercurrents of dialogue.A total winner , we are not even 1/4 through it now but are looking forwards to the rest :)

AAA++++The set showed up packaged well and in fantastic condition.I haven't had the chance to watch them yet but YAY ME !!Their here and I'm happy happy 😊The fact that they came all the way from Australia makes this whole thing even better 😍Update: I've just gotten round to watch these.I was so excited that I was finally going to be able to watch one of my favorite shows after binge watching "Open all hours."Now time to binge watch "Still Open All Hours."Sadly the last episode on Series 2 stops, jumps and gets badly pixilated.I am unable too watch it.😪

Very funny DVD collection using a number of characters from the original Open All Hours and some very funny new characters like Gastrick - the fall guy - and comedians Eric and Cyril. LeeRoy is an excellent fit for Granville's son.Very well written by Roy Clark who also wrote Last of the Summer Wine, Keeping up Appearances and Open All Hours and is still alive at 94 years of age. Excellent value for money.

Excellent series, This a box set of all episodes, but beware if you are purchasing outside of the UK, as you will need a region free DVD player to play it.
