Forest Corner Preserved Red Ginger Natural Asian Chinese Snack 6 oz

I developed at taste for red ginger when I was a little boy living in Hawaii in the late 60's. I have never forgotten the texture, moistness, and flavor of the red ginger we could buy at the local convenience store.I have tried several versions over the years, but they have never been the " real deal. "I saw this product on Amazon and gave it a try. Have you ever seen the movie Ratatouille ?This version took me way back to my childhood. Delicious and addictive !

It did have ginger flavor, but it is way too salty for a snack. I was hoping it would be similar to some preserved ginger I got in Hong Kong, but it isn't close. I will try to use it in cooking ... for the Cost, I hope I can find some way to use it!

This is unique, and unlike any preservered ginger you have ever had. First, it has no crystalized sugar on it, just pure gingerroot. If you like ginger, this is the strongest by far that you can find. It has red food coloring on it, which may seem odd at first, but it makes it look more appealing then the natural brown of ginger. After your first bite, it starts to get hot in your mouth ! Its spicy, and pleasently sweet at the same time. Try it, you will get addicted to it. It is a must try. Enjoy!

Was hoping not as wet as in some of the pictures. Has great Ginger taste.

Ginger is great addition to your diet. However, this ginger not appetizing, while the red ginger has a little sweeter flavor it is overpowered by the salt content making it unappetizing. In my case it was thrown out.
