Reading specialist approved!
As a reading specialist, I’ve seen a lot of literacy board games, and this is one of my favorites! It’s well thought out, with repetition baked into the game routines and many fun, multisensory activities that reinforce the spelling of high-frequency words. Also, the students love the kangaroo pieces and all of the references to pizza! This would be a great addition to literacy classrooms in elementary classrooms or at home for family game night.

Making Learning Fun!
I bought this game to give a colleague who has two sets of twins, all under 4, and one of the children is behind on learning sight words. I really like the multi sensory approach of this game to build literacy in young children. The game combines visual, auditory, and kinesthetic approaches to learning first words. It is so clearly a leap beyond traditional methods of teaching young children. I heard about this game from a friend whose preschooler has increased his vocabulary using Kangaroo Cravings. And he loves playing it!

Great quality learning game
Great quality game that makes learning fun! We purchased for our kindergartner and to give our toddler a head start on sight words. The different actions were a hit as was making it to the finish line. The length of play was perfect as it kept their attention span and eagerness to play the entire time.Highly recommend for the budding reader in your house. We look forward to progressing on to each of the different levels of sight word cards!

Kindergarten Success!
My daughter who just turned six LOVES this game! Playing this every night, she skipped a reading level! The game is fun because it has actions with every card drawn (stand up and write the word with your "tail", write the word with your nose, etc) - makes it fun and silly for the kids. Highly recommend - I will be remembering this one for gifts!

Awesome game for budding readers!
I bought Kangaroo Cravings for my 5 year old niece, and it was such a hit that I then bought it for my other friends with young kids. Best present ever -- fun and incredible learning. My niece loves the game and got excited about learning new words -- and so she is practicing her site words as she plays. And she seems to want to play again and again (which also means she is off screens!) -- and her mom is thrilled to indulge her as it is visibly improving her reading as she plays!I also like that it visually appealing and nicely made / quality material so it feels good to play. Very happy I found it.

A fabulous game - for home AND school!
My daughter is in the 1st grade and LOVES this game at home. It has been great for building her skills AND for instilling in her the fun of deciding and reading. We loved it so much that we purchased Kangaroo Cravings for her reading intervention teacher at school. The teacher also loves the game and the small group in my daughter’s intervention had a fabulous time learning the game together this week. The teacher was particularly excited about all the modalities it uses to teach and reinforce literacy skills. This game is a hit and really helping my daughter and her classmates grow AND gave their teacher another fun tool for her classroom!

Love this game for sight words practice!
It's easy to set up the game and start play. My 9yo really likes it for practicing sight words. He thinks the actions on the cards (write in the air, stomp your foot, etc) are fun. I'm glad I bought this.

Great if the phonics skills are already there!
the game is great for letter recognition but the child needs to have an idea what each letter already sounds like prior to playing bc the game does not offer that. So it’s a pretty big jump from recognizing the letter to being able to sight read a word. I’d like to see a game that could work on what sounds each letter makes. Great concept though!
