DVD sticks , big scratch
My disabled daughter loves this DVD. Her original wore out . So I decided to buy her a new one . The one we received is poor quality, scratched and it sticks while playing . The seller must have been aware. I'm going to order her another one . I know its pot luck re the quality . The film is great and brings back happy memories for my daughter and family . We didn't play it for weeks after receiving it so we couldn't return. For the price returning it was not cost effective.

Entertainment for the whole family
My whole family, wife, grandkids enjoyed this film so much, didn't have to hold the remote in case I had to switch off due to foul language lovely story line, I know when a film is good for the family, the grandkids glued to the TV watching it, wonderful! You can enjoy a great film without the need to swear every other word.

This is one of my favourite films for a chill-out session
This is one of my favourite films for a chill-out session. Perhaps not a totally original storyline, but it works really well - as others have said, possibly down to the magnificent acting by Diane Keaton. The only thing that lets it down for me is that the very young child doesn't age at all - even though they move to the country (to a house that barely makes it through their first winter), and then we see Diane set up a business that becomes so successful an old client of hers want to buy her out..... there's no way that child wouldn't have aged at least a year (more likely at least 2) in the time it would take for that to happen on even a small scale. This DVD purchase was made to replace my VHS copy. I do still have a VCR player, but the tape is getting a bit old and has earned it's retirement - I hadn't realised this film was anywhere near as old as it is !!!

Emotional yet beautiful
My 5 star rating says it all! The storyline to this film is heartwarming yet emotional it's about a hard faced business woman who inherits a child from a cousin who she's seen once. The price of business woman/ motherhood initially costs her a potential promotion and just when she thinks she's got nothing she discovers the new market of fresh baby food and makes her fortune! This film reminds me so much of me and my daughter. No matter how many times I watch this I always shed a few tears it's a beautiful beautiful film

Love this film
I absolutely love this film - watched this years ago when it was shown on television, and then I just had to buy it when it came out on DVD. It has a great story and I think Diane Keaton really shines (as does the baby!), and together it makes this film memorable. I don't know exactly which bit appeals to me the most - whether it's that Diane Keaton's character - J.C. Wiatt, not only manages to take on the challenge of suddenly becoming a mother (after inheriting a baby!) but also when she as good as puts two fingers up to her old employers, when she starts her own extremely successful baby food business in the country, and she shows them that she really can "have it all" (which you'll understand better when you watch this film). This film comes highly recommended, and is one that you will watch over and over again.

A True feel good film.
This is an old date of mine which I hadn't seen in many years but it doesn't disappoint. The acting is great particularly Dianne Keaton with able Support from Sam Sheppard and a young James Spader.Worth seeing again.

Islamophobia
The nannies interviews part was quite problematic...stereotyping Muslim women and Muslim in general..purely disgusting

I love this film
This film is great. It's about a woman who thinks she has it all with her career. She then becomes a mother, which changes her life forever. She then realises that there is more to life than just a career.
