Here's a tester everyone should own. Works and takes a beating around the garage. Displays actual voltage and Glows Green if polarity is correct or red if reversed so always easy to determine Ground and Positive power wire. Much better than testers that just beep or light up. The voltage reading is very helpful and i use it all the time. The probe end is sharp enough to pierce wires to test and the alligator clip is a good size and clips on securely. Best tester by far I have ever used.

As a professional automotive tech I use this test light often. I believe the voltage reading is accurate enough for basic checks (my more expensive DVOM shows the same voltage) and the test like works exactly like a test light should. My only complaints are that the clip at the end of the lead/cord is a little too small and the wire lead, which they claim will stretch to 78" isn't super robust and seems too short. That is- it works for moderate use but I don't think it's actually anywhere near that long and I'm not willing to stretch it out that far, at least not yet. I might get tired of the short lead and just stretch it all the way out and not care if it breaks. And that's a big deal if you need to find a good ground spot to clip the lead to. In my case I have a 20' roll of wire with clips at the end so I can make the shorter test light lead work, but if I didn't have that roll of wire I would be disappointed and look for the model that is exactly the same but has a longer lead for just a few dollars more.

A must have for any big rig operator! Having trouble with trailer taillights or turn signals, this device accurately, and quickly identifies blown fuses which is usually the problem leading to rear light failures that can put your and your truck out of service at a weigh station or roadside traffic stop. The extra-large alligator clip is extremely useful for finding a ground on large bolts, a feature not found on many competing products. The LED readout gives a clear indication of the system voltage and is bright enough to be seen in daylight.
