Great unit. Essential for hot rooms.
Worked flawlessly. Used it for over a year before movie and not need it anymore. Worth the investigation if it will fit in your window type. My room was always ice cold in the summer.

Fits in a 22" wide window frame. Tends to tip out window and fall if not carefully installed.
I will update the review with performance later. But I wanted to review set-up and installation while it was fresh in my mind. This fit fine in a double hung window that was 22.5 inches wide, with the accordion side panels installed. It would have fit with the panels in a window that was 21 inches wide with the panels. If you install it without the accordion panels (which is possible) in a window that is at least 16" wide (the width of the unit), although I'd say no less than 16.5-17 inches to be safe.It was mildly difficult to put the accordion panels on.WARNING: When you install this in the window, it is heavier in the back (the portion that hands out the window) and can easily tip out the window and fall if you are not extremely careful. Behind the sill I have a storm window frame about 6-7 inches further out, but then I got it in place, the center of gravity was further back and the unit wanted to tip out the window. I put labels on the unit to remind myself to have one person hold down firmly on the front when I open the window to uninstall it.The design - with a couple inch rail on the bottom that is supposed to be just outside the ledge of the sill seems a bit poorly designed. With that railing outside, the cord was getting slightly pinched under the unit against the sill. I ended up putting a thin board under it to give the cord a touch more room. Also, with the railing outside the sill, it was hard to keep the accordion wings up against the bottom of the sill. Just seems that could have been better designed. So, for design and installation, it is barely a 4 star. I will update once we get the heavy duty extension cord and start using it.

Not pleased. Overpriced trash.
The side panels don’t fit into the ac to cover the window. When I went to move it it dumped about three gallons of water all over my floor. It didn’t cool my 10x10 room at all. The ac itself was bent on one side. And it’s way overpriced for what you get. Don’t waste your money on this hunk of junk.

Not Bad Not Great
The fan doesn’t has much output but the air does blow cold . So being close to unit would be best. If your furniture is going to be far away from the unit and you have a big area this won’t work. Here’s the thing ACs are not what they once were nothing is made like before. So consider a 5000 btu to be a high powered fan with some cooling but it won’t feel like AC. A 6000btu is a AC . I’m in a medium room. This would be best for spaces under under 250 square feet. This is compact built. Easy to install and lightweight. Update even though though fan isnt strong on this unit and you have to be close up to the unit . The unit so far is really cooling a medium size bedroom. It gets 55 degrees in my bedroom and I also added a box fan . I can’t complain and will update mid summer . For the price I paid I 180 it is worth it to me .
