This wrench is specifically designed for Champion brass sprinkler heads and the spray inserts they use. I ordered one of these with a shipment of heads and sprays. The head end of the wrench is a bit narrower than the notched portions of some of the heads and needed to be spread another few hundredths of an inch. The hex end slips before it gets traction on sprays that have corroded into place. A steel socket works better, and the spray shaft needs to be held with channel locks. But for the most part, this wrench does what it is supposed to most of the time
