Fine kids game but fell a bit short for us
The media could not be loaded. 👾 Pros:Engaging concept - The teeth-collecting alien plot is sure to captivate the little ones.Comprehensive instructions - Separate guidelines for parents and kids ensure a smooth game flow.Competitive pricing - £19.99 seems reasonable for a unique family game.👽 Cons:Game components - The materials are all cardboard, so they could have been a tad sturdier.Potentially dull gameplay - After a round or two, the kids might lose interest. The gameplay, I must admit, didn't quite live up to my expectations. While it seemed exciting at first, it became a bit repetitive, and our 4-year-old was ready to move onto something new after just one game. The constant waiting for other players to take their turn led to a noticeable dip in the suspense factor. As a result, the game didn't quite deliver on the thrill front.Where the game truly shone, however, was in the instructions. They were crystal clear and came in two versions - one for the adults and one for the kiddos. This made getting into the game a breeze and we could quickly get down to the teeth-collecting business. As for the components, they were functional but left a bit to be desired in the quality department. They were all made from cardboard, which didn't feel the most durable. On the upside, the artwork was absolutely delightful, really playing up the quirky, alien theme of the game.Despite its shortcomings, I still believe the Exploding Kittens I Want My Teeth Back game offers fair value for its price of £19.99. It's a unique concept and certainly adds a dash of whimsy to family game night. If you're looking for something a bit out of the ordinary, this could be worth a spin. But remember, patience is key, especially when those alien teeth prove elusive! 👽🛸🦷

Practically no maths or strategy, better for younger players 🦷
Having heard great things about Exploding Kittens branded games we were excited to try the game I Want My Teeth Back.I Want My Teeth Back is a card game in which all the players are competing to be the first person to complete the game card of having all of their Meef's teeth. This is a fun concept and I think the idea would work well with a few adjustments but as it is the game is a little disappointing. On first opening the game there are a lot of different pieces and cards which is a little overwhelming to start. This is not helped by the very confusing instructions. I do like that there was a section of instructions to read out to the children playing as this helped me understand a bit better too.Basically the game revolves around variety of cards and adding teeth to a landing mat. Some cards add teeth to the landing mat, some allow you to spin and claim the teeth on the landing mat and the others can be matched in future turns of the individuals to allow a higher spin amount when they are traded in.We found that with the cards available it didn't take long to complete the Meef's teeth as there were so many teeth on the landing mat whenever claimed so it didn't give the game as much suspense as it could have done. It would have been much better if there were cards that either took teeth away from your or an opponent's Meef or from the landing mat itself. As for the secretly learning a little maths which the game promotes itself with, if you can count to three then there's not really any maths to be learnt from this game! What I do like from the game is the design and attention to detail. I love that each of the teeth has a different face on them as it's such a unique and fun feature. I also really like that there is a little storybook to be read to the children about the Meef and his teeth and the way that the game boards can be customised with players names.I think with this game recommended as a 4yr + then it is not a great option as there's practically no strategy or maths involved, it's all luck, however I do think it is a fun game for younger players. I'd give the game an age range of 2 - 6 years as the rounds are short and this age range would get a little bit of maths from counting and find the story of the game amusing whilst also learning turn taking.Overall it's an okay game but could be better with some adjustments to the cards.
