I wasn't sure what to expect from this as it was midrange, however, I have been very pleasantly surprised on so many levels.Firstly, it was so easy to set up. Took a couple of go's to connect it to the dual band broadband, usual with smart devices, but connected, by itself, on 2nd try.The image quality is much better than expected. In the dark, it is black and white but good resolution.I bought an SD card so I can keep all recordings locally for an indefinite time. It was easy to set to record to it.I have had to decrease the motion detection sensitivity. Every passing car was setting it off. The dog still sets it off but I think I will purchase the optional AI detection, which is not a lot, to stop this. Lol.I can get a live stream wherever I can get a mobile signal and the lag in getting alarms to my phone is tiny, unlike a cheapo video bell, where it can be 6 seconds plus!!!!!!!! It does give me alerts as we come and go too but, rather too many thank none!!!!!! I delete those I don't want. Lol.You email the company to validate your warranty and I got a lovely, and very prompt, reply to verify it was done.There are some things I won't mention here, which could be slightly improved but, due to security, should not be discussed in an open review. Eg. Where SD is situated!!!!!The chime us battery powered and you can even carry it round the house. You won't need to, as it is very loud but actually quite small and unobtrusive. Great it can sit anywhere, and comes with batteries. Just cycle through the tones jntil you find one that suits.All in all, I am more than satisfied with this unit. The build quality feels good, instructions easy and recording/alert quality brilliant.UPDATE: After nearly a year, the indoor chime died, corroded battery terminals. I contacted customer services and sent the required information. Lavendar was as good as her word and, within a few days, I have now received a new chime unit which is paired and working fine. Cannot fault the service so now looking at another one for my front door!!!!!!! Very impressed.A solid buy with nice customer services and excellent customer experience.

Works. Good pic quality, night vision is clear too UNLESS very cold morning when camera can be steamy looking first thing in the morning.Charges quick, easy to set up app

I have tried 5 different door ring cameras and finally found one that works as I want it to. All the others either needed a monthly subscription ( didnt want that ) or the motion sensor didn't work properly ( and I tried and tried to set it properly ).This camera uses a simple app ( Cleverbridge ) which is very easy to set up. The camera picks up movement from up to 30' away. The reply option is easy to use. SD card is easy to add to the cameraInternal battery which charges using a usb cable.Very reasonably priced and well worth the money.

I had to restart my review on this product and gave a low review.I bought it the first time but returned it back because I was not happy that it could not record continuously on SD card and it was giving false signals of motions detected, and the app was a bit slow. I bought couple of others but this one proved to be better in picture quality and angle, so I bought the second one but only to find out it had further problemsFirstly, the battery takes ages to charge fully, it takes good few hours, it would be fine if it lasted long enough but it doesn’t. It lasts a week max. when fully charged.Secondly, it misses to detect people passing my door step (I have an internal security camera that works like a clock to detect people passing my door and notify me, that's how I know it), and sometimes I get notifications of motions detected, I check on the history and nothing is there - no matter which settings I tried (I tried both low and high sensitivity of humans and unselected the animals/birds/package etc.), the outcome is same. I had some passer-by today front of my door in which my internal security camera is detected timely and correctly, but this one failed. It will only record properly when someone press the bell and stand front of my door.Thirdly, the app is slow, it always buffers for few seconds before connecting to the live camera and it will not record continuously on SD card (you need an SD card for it to record motions/visitors but it will not record continuously). You can only see the motions detected in the history in which many times are false. I had some passer-by today front of my door and it didn't detect any of it.The only good thing about this video doorbell is that it has a crystal-clear picture quality and a wider view than others I tried, but only in width, about 160 degrees, but not in length, you can't see a full person if they are standing right front of your door, so the angle ratio isn't that great.You also need two fingers to zoom in or out and it's sensitive, tapping doesn't work. You can't zoom in or out on the recorded videos on the app either.I can't even return it back now because I installed it and used it. Very disappointed but glad I didn't have to pay the full price as it was on promotion and in fact doesn't deserve the full price which was like £59.It's not a reliable video doorbell and I would NOT recommend it.
