Solid cat scratcher.
My cat loves this thing. I catch her using it at least twice a day and whenever she does she seems very happy. Its a pretty small tower which makes it fit in many places, it most certainly works as my cat uses it a lot, the instructions made assembly rather easy, the very top barely reaches over my desk but that still gives my cat enough distance to reach for her to get a good stretch in, and it shows no visible damage despite being used near daily for numerous months. Solid purchase.

Cats love the gray carpet of this scratcher
I would give it 5 if the whole thing was carpet. My cats love scratching on the gray carpet of this scratcher. I have had several of these. They are a hit. Purchased two the last time so I could make my own tall all gray carpet scratcher. The other drawback. The carpet needs to be attached with a stronger bond at the seam.

She LOVES it! Happy Kitty.
Within the first 10 minutes, my cat tried it out. She loves it. It's easy to assemble and the quality is wonderful. 100% recommend.

My Cat Loves It!
I adopted a new adult cat about a year ago and bought this and other carpeted scratching posts. THIS is the ONLY one we would use! He will NOT, however, use the sisal part. This is light weight and not really meant to be jumped and climbed on. I assembled it as shown with the sisal part on top and the carpet piece on the bottom. He can still scrunch down and stretch up enough and scratch at it to make him happy. I also placed it against the back of my sofa for stability. The top part of the grey carpeting was pretty trashed after only three months, even peeling away some (my cat is a 13' 'bruiser') so what I did was take it apart using the tool provided (very easy!) and flipped the carpeted piece over and reassembled it, good for several more months! He LOVES it!!!

Great for kittens
My little foster kittens enjoy this although they tend to get to the top and forget how to get down!

Scratching Post Defective and of Inferior Quality
I have included several photos of the scratching post I purchased from this seller and it was delivered on October 22, 2024, so about two and a half months ago. As you can see my two year old cat lives it. He loves to scratch and climb on it. His little sister loves scratching it as well though not nearly as much. I have also included a single photo of the scratching post I got for my older cat when he was 10 weeks old, so it is nearly two years old and other that being well loved it has no parts coming off it. However, the newer scratching post is of inferior quality and/or is defective in it manufacturing as it is already coming apart after only two and a half months to say that I am disappointed is putting it mildly. This is completely unacceptable for an item of its cost. I cannot recommend that anyone purchase this product. You would be better of spending your money elsewhere in my humble opinion. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FEOM THIS COMPANY AS YOU CANNOT RELY THAT IT WILL BE OF GOOD QUALITY AND WITHOUT DEFECTS. THEY SAY YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR BUT NOT IN THIS CASE!

Too bad the entire post is not carpeted | Tipping Hazard
My cat is finicky and prefers to scratch carpet and abhors sisal. She was tearing up my wool rug even though I bought her her own mini wool rugs. I gave away a huge, sturdy column sisal scratching post because she wouldn’t touch it. I searched Amazon and found this scratching post that is half carpeted.Pros:- Cat immediately took to the carpeted bottom half of the pole and scratches is multiple times during the dayCons:- Carpet was not glued at the seam. My cat immediately started scratching the post so I kept it rather than deal with the return/exchange process and will glue it myself- Tipping hazard. My cat weighs 11.5lbs and when she starts scratching or playing with her toys at the base of the post it wobbles. My solution was to use a 12lb dumbbell to keep it from tipping over- The screw and washer that secure the post to the base are not recessed and therefore can scratch my wood floor. I ended up putting painters tape over it to protect my floor- My cat would prefer the entire post to be carpeted, she doesn’t scratch the sisal but at least this has turned her attention from scratching at my wool rug
