The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this aquarium light for use on a 10 gallon tank in my classroom. It’s absolutely amazing! My primary concern when purchasing a light is my aquarium plants… and this light gives them what they need. Secondly, because it’s in my classroom and there are periods of time when I’m gone (weekends, holidays, winter and spring breaks), I wanted a light with a timer function. I did read reviews that stated there wasn’t a timer function; however, perhaps they purchased a different light, because there is a timer on the remote. All school year, I haven’t had to think about the lights. I’ve set them up on a 12 hour timer… and I set them to turn to a dim blue for the next 12 hours… and I just leave them alone. The third thing I want in an aquarium light (and this is optional, but I like this feature) is the ability to use a dimmer and a blue light in the evenings… and this light has every imaginable color combination you can think of! Cyan, purple, green, pink… everything! My students used to like seeing it do that the light flashed through every color. We joked the fish were at a disco party. Ultimately, I was able to set the light at its lowest blue setting for 12 hours every evening. The true test for me, came during winter break, when I was gone for almost three weeks… I set up an automatic fish feeder and made sure the timer was set on the light… and I crossed my fingers. Upon my return, my plants were thriving and there was no sign of algae. The performance of this light has made it my absolute favorite (and I have 8 fish tanks overall)! I like that it swivels in multiple directions, so you can put the light just where you want it. My only critique is that it seemed just a light bit lopsided, but I was able to correct that by placing a few glue dots under the right side of the bracket that attaches the light to the tank. They say you get what you pay for… and this light was a great value for the money.

The light works, but just has an on/off switch. I set a dimmer up on it, and while programming it worked great. I was able to set it and it worked fine ramping from 50-75-100-75-50-0. The issue came when it went came back on in the morning, it no longer followed the schedule, and I had to manually turn off. I tried this with two different dimmer brands and neither worked. Not the biggest issue, but would be a 5 star if it dimmed properly.

Fits perfectly works great. Not damaged or anything during shipping. Haven't had luck in the past with keeping plants alive. Also never had a light. So I'm hoping with the light I can keep them alive. I live having plants inside and love the jungle ish vibe plants give inside especially when there is a bunch.

The light is too strong for the aquariums it is sized to fit.The light needs to be toned down or controls need to be added to manage the intensity.

SO all in all, the spectrum and brightness are pretty impressive right out of the box as a FISH TANK light, the color is reminiscent of the old "Gro-Lux" pink Aquarium bulbs so absolutely GREAT for bringing out colors in your fish (unlike most "Plant-Friendly" lights that wash out the subtle blues and reds in many fish) ... THAT said, the light also carries a punch, brightness-wise (which should mean it will be plant-friendly for lower light requirements like Java Fern, Anubias, etc without making the tank look "dim") ... Time shall tell, and i will update if there are any complaintsCaveat - no controls, only switch. Not an issue, unless You want to use on dimmer circuit. It **WILL** work w dimmer controller and dims evenly, etc but will NOT turn back on after powering off without full power. Now all that said, i would think a decent wireless plug and a working knowledge of Alexa, etc it might be able to be incorporated into an automated system, but really, I would consider this on an "Old-School" manual timer for the easiest use. If You want to do a photocycle, etc then grab some blue LED's and run them separately on a different timer, My GOD You have NO idea how We had to run 12 ballasts, HO, VHO, Metal Halide, etc on a bank of timers to run Reef or Planted tanks back in the day.Overall, 4 stars due to the sensitivity of the driver board and no optional settings, 5 stars for being on e of the most "eye-pleasing" color spectrum LED's I have played with in the last few years that weren't 3X the cost

So, I have this over my turtle tank (red eared slider), and it's amazing. Reaches from one end to the other, and can extend even further (on a 4'x1.5'x2' tank), lighting the entire tank evenly. It has red/green/blue leds as well as the white, to give full needed spectrum. The timer work well, and is basically set-and-forget, and if power goes out, you just reset current time, and it goes on it's way. Only bummer I find is that my other lights of this type also have a dawn/dusk blue light setting, which I have grown to enjoy.

I really like that it almost looks like the brand name aquarium lights I have but this time, it's just more affordable. It fits perfect on my 10G planted aquarium. It has bright lights which is good for my plants. Also it's nice that I can adjust the colors with the remote control. Looks well made. I am happy with this purchase.
