Baby them at first!
I potted mine up immediately (no need to disturb root ball) into 4" pots and put them under grow lights for a week before moving them into a sheltered area outside. I also noticed that there were actually 2 plants in a couple of my pots. I strongly recommend taking scissors and carefully cutting off the smaller of two if you get 2 in a pot. The ones that were one to a pot were doing significantly better than the ones with 2 plants. I do not recommend trying to separate if you happen to get 2 in one pot. I tried to and found that I could not do so without risking very significant or fatal damage to one or both of the ones I tried to separate. PrimeArk Freedom is supposed to be a very good variety and I am excited to still have four very healthy and thriving plants 2 weeks after receipt. A few years ago I ordered a couple of blackberry plants from a different seller in a similar tiny pot and after potting them up into 4 inch pots, I immediately put them outside where they got morning sun and they died soon after. I also have given mine a diluted transplant fertilizer each week. So far, I could not be happier! I received them May 2, growing zone 7. They were well packaged and not dried out. June 3, 2024 update--plants are doing great. I am moving them into 1 gallon pots. I am sure they will continue to do well. March 29, 2025 update They are growing roots out the bottom of the 1 gallon container. I meant to have them in the ground by now, but will have to put them in 3 gallon containers for now. Made it through winter, unprotected in 1 gallon pots, new growth looks healthy. Not sure when to expect berries. I highly recommend the starter plants if you are on a budget. Yes, they are small, but I was impressed with how quickly they grew.

Beautiful on arrival
The plants look beautiful and healthy. Got them transplanted immediately and under grow lights. Will keep them inside for at least a week and then will start hardening them outside a few hours a day. Green pots are boysenberries and pink pots are blackberries. Will update going forward.

Waste of seed
Not worth the price, smallest plants I've ever received. My parsley was bigger.

They start small, need some time & care to get going
I got 4 of the Freedom plants. Yes they came in very tiny but they were healthy. I put them all together in a 12" pot to get a little bigger before transplanting. During this time my dog ate one of them. When they got too big for that pot I planted them in the ground about 1-2 months ago. My 3 survivors are doing great. I'm including a bad picture here bc I missed the top of the tallest plant, but that plant is 18-24" tall now. Thick brown stems. There are 3 plants in that picture. No berries but I didn't expect any this first year. I recieved the plants in May, 4-5 months ago. Maybe by winter they will have grown up to 4-5 feet, and they still might. Then if they survive my MT winter, they should be doing fantastic next year. FYI I also planted 6 Prime-Ark Horizon plants that I got from Burpees and they are doing even better. The tallest of those is 3-4 feet tall and almost all of them are fruiting. I've had to put up an actual trellis for the Horizon, where the Freedom just has a couple stakes. Horizon is semi thornless so they do have some thorns but they may be fantastic producers. It may be a great combo, Freedom and Horizon! ALL my blackberries are on a drip irrigation setup to make sure they get water 2-3 times per week. They need it.

Not ready for a pot or the ground!
The picture shows a substantial start leading you to think it's ready for the ground. Much much smaller than expected! These are not ready for a pot or ground! Pretty disappointed! I should have read reviews. Change your pictures! Or sell what your advertising! Ill water them for you before I return them!
