Fabulous and consistent
I purchased this and returned it because it was significantly less expensive for the identical unit elsewhere, price matching wasn't offered and the knobs holding the platform that sets the distance from the edge of the paper to the holes were striped upon arrival. But the replacement unit works and it is fabulous! HIGHLY Recommended. Here's why:1. It really makes a difference being able to set the depth distance from the edge of the paper to the holes so as to avoid putting holes in text!2. It uses a solid bar to hold paper in place so there will never be misaligned holes! It also adjusts for paper length, but I haven't needed this feature yet. But I'm glad it's there and it is simple to use this feature.I want to thank previous reviewers for mentioning that when the number of pages gets higher, the machine needs to be placed on a lower table so that one can use their body weight to punch the holes. Otherwise the bar takes an awkward amount of upper body strength to push down, especially for me, a 5" tall female. If you're taller you won't have an issue. This comes with experience, but you'll know the machine has punched all the way through the paper when it has one final push beyond what you would think finished the job. And, it won't release the paper until the handle is brought completely to the top position. No short cuts or grabbing papers out of the machine. Bring the handle all the way to the top. Finally, it is not huge which is nice. It fits pretty much anywhere when not in use.Just as an aside, I did speak to the manufacturer prior to returning the unit and was told that they would "do me the favor" of sending replacement knobs, as if receiving a unit with stripped knobs was acceptable to the manufacturer and as if it wasn't under warranty of fitness to do the job it was advertised for and intended for during the first 24 hours of receipt. Horrible customer service but an otherwise excellent product.

Does the job!
As much as we pretend to work in "paperless" offices, we don't really. Everyone is always printing out things and often the documents are big enough to need a binder. The cheap hole punches are very inadequate, and you can waste a lot of time trying to punch a large document. This thing does exactly what it says. The nice long handle gives you plenty of leverage and the sharp punches penetrate smoothly. You must follow the instructions to get a clean cut.

Smooth
From the punch accuracy to the functionality. It does the job right every time. No complaints. Isn't too big or bulky. It works great.

It's a hoss
What can you say about a hole punch? Having read the reviews on $10 and $20 two-hole punchers, I decided I wanted to purchase something a little more sturdy. I must admit, the price made me cringe, but I bit the bullet and hoped for the best. Well, after a few weeks of use, I can confidently report that this bad boy is worth every penny. What I like:1. 50 sheets of paper mine as well be one sheet of paper. This thing is a hoss. A 10-pound baby could punch through 100 sheets of paper without breaking a sweat.2. Rather than one single sidearm to use in aligning the paper, there are two (one on each side), which means I punch the middle every time with ease, regardless of the size of the paper I'm punching. Plus, the sidearms are sturdy and easy to use.3. The chads (pieces poked out) are bunched up so tightly that they do not fly here and there and clean up is super simple, quick, and easy.4. It isn't as big as you might think. It sits in a corner and doesn't take up too much space.5. It isn't sissified. This thing is so sturdy I think I'm going to have to leave it to someone in my last will and testament because I'll die before it does. What I don't like:1. It didn't ship via Amazon Prime, which meant I had to spend extra time waiting for it.

Reliable Heavy Duty Hole Puncher
The heavy-duty hole puncher is a robust tool, perfect for frequent and demanding use. Its solid metal construction ensures durability, and it can effortlessly punch through up to 50 sheets of paper, making it ideal for busy office environments. The smooth lever mechanism also reduces the effort needed, preventing hand fatigue during prolonged use. However, the price is on the higher side, making it a significant investment. Additionally, the cost of replacement parts is expensive, which can be a concern if any components wear out or break.Despite the higher costs, the performance and reliability of this hole puncher make it a valuable addition to any office. Its durability and efficiency justify the investment for those who need a dependable, heavy-duty solution.

Just what we needed
What a beast! This punch works fantastic...when it says 100 pages, it really means it. We are a busy accounting office and this is a timesaver when binding up returns.

Punches holes with ease
This product is heavy weight and it punches homes through thick stacks of paper and books. The local print shop was going to charge me so much to punch holes in my paper bound workbooks that this more than paid for itself in just a few projects . Excellent product! This is a great addition to my home office .

Not a Heavy Duty Hole Punch
The hole punchers kept getting clogged. I kept having to stop to take the hole punchers off of the puncher to clean them out, and a few punches later, they would be clogged again. I ended up with paper holes all over the place, and it was frustrating to have to stop to clean the hole punchers out continually. I was using 20 lb. paper and couldn't come even close to hole-punching 150 sheets of paper, and even the small stacks I was punching didn't hole-punch well. I had to punch twice, or sometimes the holes would still be stuck on the paper. After using it for a short time, the hole-punch blades started feeling dull. I looked up what replacements cost - $50+. This machine is definitely not worth it.
