Works Great
I have been using two sets of these router guides since 2018. I saw some photos of bushings failing but I have had nothing but excellent service from mine. I custom drill the plates to fit my routers and I use a steel centering guide (not the plastic one that comes with the set). With the plate screwed to the router, the bushing is always accurately centered.I have created custom dovetails in mahogany drawers with hard maple sides and all worked perfectly. I will buy more sets if needed. I also cut one plate with a saw to custom fit it to my Makita trim router. It is much less expensive than buying the Makita bushing adapter and a porter cable style bushing set.

I bought this to use with a half blind dovetail jig I was givent, I am using it on a Makita RP0900X1 1/4" plunge router. After removing the routers factory base, I had some trouble finding at least three holes to match the router base, as the screws that come with the router were shorter I had to go out and buy some M4 x 16mm screws to fit the base, the screws provided in the kit did not fit due to thread variances. As this particular router is smaller than most, it has limited plunge capacity, this caused minor issues using the alignment pin to center the jig. I overcome this by using one of the guide bushings over the collet.I have used this with the edge guide, and it performed well, the base gives a stable platform for the router on thin workpieces.I recomment this product.

nearly a perfect router upgrade
I've got a fairly old Ryobi router that came with a router table. I've used it a LOT. recently decided I wanted to try my hand at Dovetail joints and bought a jig for that purpose. I just needed a guide bushing to make it work right. I felt fortunate that this would fit my old router and do the job. the only thing I don't like about it is there is only 3 of the 4 screws holding it to my router's base. also, I can't just install and leave it in place as the adjustment for the bit height while in it's router table is blocked off. still, it works as it's designed and does what I needed.

Good tool but does not fit with ryobi p601 router
Good tool but does not fit with ryobi p601 router. Fits normal size plunge or fixed routers

Very good adapter for plunge routing
My old plunge router bushings weren't working it any more. I needed a new set. With the supplied centering tool, this went on to my Skil router easily and worked great.

Good for a Starter kit if you do not have a good router plate
Couple thingsPro- The unit comes with the base plate so if you do not have a base plate that can accept a 1 3/16 insert to run router collars this will work. The inserts came with a "Tested" for snugness. The reason for that? (See Pic) of an older one I've been using and this is actually my second one. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that I had not SET the insert in FULL lock position, but I DID after checking the 1/2" collar insert into the new base. So that cost me a bit. Which brings me to the ConsCon- The unit has some that have shorter collars than others. IE., 7/16 collar is short enough for a dove tail jig. However if you are using a Harbor Freight Dovetail jig you will want to run the 1/2" collar set at 1/2 deep, using a 14º 1/2" Dovetail bit, preferably a 30.00 One. (See Pic) I ended up having to grind down the collar to clear the stock so the bit can route. The Base Plate has been re cut to now be almost Too Snug to accept the inserts/collars. Really snug. Like Monkey Grip hands to get it out. I am gonna give the brass ones (generic) a shot next round. They thread into the 1 3/16 insert that this plate does come with. The Base plate is 6" across/wide.

This is DANGEROUS.
After about an hour of use on a dovetail jig, the plastic plate flexed and the bushing hit the spinning router bit. The small metal bushing, in the middle of the plastic lock in plate, disintegrated into many small fragments. Neither Milescraft nor Amazon should be selling this thing.
