They get bored !
Only cat toy I bought in the last three years that my cats don’t get bored with. They love chasing that little laser. At first I thought it was lame because the battery didn’t last very long but then I realized I can leave it plugged in and it still works. Great cat toy to keep your cats occupied and having fun.

Great for bored cats!
I highly recommend this for your cats that need something to do besides mess with your laptop or beg for treats. I work from home, and leave this plugged in. Once you turn it on once (I use the purple setting) it turns on automatically once every hour or so. It’s often enough to catch their attention and get them to play but not too much to get tired of it. Even my overweight cats are getting exercise now. When I need to take a call, I can pop it on manually to keep them busy. It’s quiet and subtle, and it works best on a low table. Holds up and well worth the price.

Great toy, short battery life
my cats love this toy! definitely keeps them active and excited. You do have to keep it at a higher spot, but keeping it at a higher spot doesn't always trigger the light after the 2 hour mark. It has great distance and mobility and scans the entrie living room - even some in the dining room! Unfortunately, the battery does not last 2 days for us, more so about 1-1.5 days which is frustrating since we are always on the go and don't want to keep it charging all day. I do like that it lasts 15 minutes at a time though, plenty of time to get the zoomies taken care of! Overall, it's a nice toy for the cats and keeps them interested for awhile!

It’s haunted.
Great product. Cats love it. Just one issue: it’s haunted. It goes on whenever it wants. The battery dies. I charge it and then a couple hours later it turns on without rhyme or reason. Don’t get me wrong, this is great for the cats when I’m at work, but it’s a little unnerving. I know it goes on while I’m not home because my cameras alerted me to movement and it was the laser cat.

Felines agree! This is IT in Cat Entertainment!
Does your cat seem to dislike anything new you bring into THEIR home? Does your cat give you looks of disdain when you try to interest them in playing with their most favorite toy - the same toy they play with constantly when they don’t know you can see them on the cat cam? That was the state of affairs at our house before I ordered the YVE LIFE interactive laser cat toy. As I prepared to open the recently arrived Amazon shipment, our always curious juvenile male, Jet, made it a point to insert himself in the middle of the box. When I pulled the cat toy from its packaging, he gave it a casual and dismissive glance, returning to the top of his cat condo from which he could “guard” the room from whatever he perceived to be unwelcome or otherwise an affront to his feline sense of territory. Dutifully, I plugged the almost autonomous cat toy in for its first charge at our house and true to its included instructions, it was fully charged and ready to go in short order. The toy itself can be placed almost anywhere and its adjustable head can be set for maximum feline fun. The device itself is shaped roughly like that of a sitting black and white cat, complete with cat shaped ears on its rotating head. It seems to be a well built device and appears suited to survival in a house with roving felines. The toy is a bit on the top heavy side due to the hollow nature of its supporting base. Even so, It’s not easily toppled unless you are like me and prone to knocking things off counters or living room furniture. I will say that it showed no signs of damage even after I managed to knock it off the table where I had placed it when first unboxed. Jet was still at the top of his perch when I encouraged the new toy to life with a touch of the button atop of the toy’s head. Jet only feigned a slight interest as cats often do but as soon as the toy’s head rotated in animation, his focus became laser like and his interest grew and grew. The laser now activated, its unmistakable red targeting dot fell onto the rug far below. There it hesitated briefly, captivating, dare I say daunting, its feline predator while luring him down from his lofty perch. Jet placed his body into crouch position and readied for a full power launch, effortlessly springing from the cat condo and landing with a thud, the dot miraculously escaping the pounce at the last possible second, emerging behind its stalker and continuing its playful taunt. The logic mechanism behind this laser toy provides random experiences for your pet and this runtime capability will help prevent boredom. Its three modes of operation ensure that your pet has a fun experience. Its fast mode of play is all but guaranteed to make you, the human, howl with laughter. It certainly did me! I laughed until I cried as Jet chased the laser projected dot around the small little space, wondering what Jet was thinking of this game in his place. Jet was captivated and intrigued with his new found friend. He had a blast running up, down, and all around. After 15 minutes of full speed fun and hunting concentration, his mental and physical workouts were complete as the smart little toy placed itself into sleep mode for its standard two hour nap, resting for a future play session with Jet or our other usually uninterested feline, his mother, Hunter, an ill fitting name for the long haired beauty she is. Jet quickly learned that humans can bring his new toy to life at will and several times each day I find him alternating looks between the toy and me, adding a persistent meow to his demand for more play. More often than not, I give in. As a cat parent, I can only hope that this video game doesn’t “rot his brain” as my parents were convinced computer games would mine! This cat toy was a fantastic find. It operates silently but sometimes I wish it had a video game-like musical score to accompany the antics of play, but let’s be honest, our cats don’t need the music, that’s strictly for us humans. We are the ones easily entertained. The cat contingent gives this toy a tail up (this means “great” in the cat vernacular of mannerisms) and I definitely agree. I’m ordering one for my alleyway neighbor! How’s that for a stamp of approval?!

Instructions claim it does things it does not do
Well its a good toy for the cat, but has its downsides. It works, for a short period of time 15 minutes. It says its motion activated and should simply activate by any pet or human movements for a 2 hour window after you activate it into one of three modes, tho, that does not actually work ever. You must turn it on every 15 minutes to keep your pet entertained.... which makes this a big pain in the arse. It says you can turn the motion activation on or off, tho there is absolutely no mechanism to do so. you click it once, twice, or three times for 3 different modes of speeds it moves around at, and the fourth press is to turn it off. Nothing does anything for motion activation. The instructions DO NOT even mention HOW to turn on motion activation or turn it off, its useless. Multiple spelling errors in the instructions makes these chinese products almost unbearable to read. Its good for small 15 minute bursts when you turn it on, and then any time you walk by you can turn it on again, but lets be real. Im not trying to get off the couch to turn this thing on every 15 minutes when im relaxing in the evening watching a show... this is supposed to do the job for me, thats the point of technology, to make things more simple. Would not buy again, would try another product instead.

100% worth the money. Easy play time without lifting a finger!
My cat loves this laser toy! It's extremely easy to set up and use. I love the three different modes, especially the last one that goes back and forth between fast and slow. It makes a solutely no noise, stays put on whatever counter I put it on, and the battery lasts a long time. It's such an easy toy to entertain your cat that it makes it 100% worth the money.

My Cats Love It!
My cats absolutely love this toy! It runs for about two days before needing a recharge and works exactly as advertised. I love that it automatically turns off and on by itself, making it very convenient for times when I’m away but still want my cats to get exercise. Highly recommend for busy pet parents!

This is the best automatic laser cat toy I've ever had. I've been through a fair few of them to come to your verdict. KEY NOTES for those with issues: 1. Motion detection issues: the motion detection only works once you have turned it on & left it alone. That lets it go into standby. 2. If the laser toy is too fast, press the button to the yellow mode as that's the slow mode. It has it on the picture & instructions. 3. Not all cats love lasers. One of my cats love it, the other just ignores it completely. Toys always depend on the cat's personality. Pros: - No noise when the head moves with the laser (this has been an issue on most laser toys!). - It has motion detection! It's definitely within 4 metres as the toy goes off when I am further away walking down the hallway. - 3 different modes. Yellow for slow, purple for random and red for cat zoomies 😂 this is also rare to find in laser toys, so thank you for actually having it be random and have different modes. My cat absolutely loves the reds & purple modes and pounces at the light when it's closer to her. - easy to charge - pretty durable. I've accidentally knocked it off our coffee table twice already 😔 and it's still going really well! Cons: - battery life doesn't last longer than a day. But this is because if it's in a frequently walked by area then it will be going off all the time and the battery will die. - nothing else! Recommended upgrades/fixes: - Longer standby time/different standby modes:- Maybe a second button where you could cycle through standby mode options? You could set it for 4 or 6 hours if your cat isn't as active and it stops it going off all the time when you only have a small area for it to be in. - different standby modes would increase the battery life as well. - include in the video on how to adjust the laser inside - a 4 or 5 interaction modes:- I would love to see one that's like a stalk & catch mode. One where it's slowly moving around but then stops & pauses... 5 to 10 seconds. Enough for the cat to pounce at it. I would like to see this in a second version of the random mode as well. Maybe stalk & catch slow & random modes.

Good for cats they liked it

This thing rules. My cat absolutely loves it. My favorite part is how quiet it is as my old one sounded like a concrete mixer, you can't even hear this one! Also this one does the random path so the cat doesn't get board as quick. Definitely recommend this to anyone for their cat. Can't speak to battery life, but I just leave it plugged in for constant power. Construction feels pretty solid. It's worth it just for how quiet it is.

I wasn’t sure how my cat would react to this, but she was hooked within minutes. The laser moves in different patterns so it doesn’t feel repetitive, and it actually keeps her chasing and jumping instead of getting bored right away. I love that it turns on with motion and runs on its own when I’m busy. It’s been great for burning off extra energy, especially in the evenings. Battery life has been solid so far and it feels well made. Easily one of the best toys I’ve bought for my cat.

Good product, works well. A full charge doesn't last too long, maybe around 24 hours.
