Powerful but loud!
Bigger than I thought it would be. Very powerful, ripped through a sheet of ply quite quickly, but I suspect that a slightly better quality blade may have made it easier, although it was quite a thick sheet to be honest. Bought this for making my own storage boxes because I can't manage a full size rip saw, I think it will be just right for my level of skills, and I can manage it even with the arthritis in my hands. Very handy addition to any diy-ers toolbox, probably a good option for plumbers and electritians too. Comes with 6 blades, and the laser light makes accurate cuts easy. Spent a bit more than I had planned for this, even with the discount code, but for the power of it, I think it was worth it. Mains power rather than battery operated, but that's fine for me as I will only ever be using it at home. Really loud, but it's a powerful motor. Good value for the money.

My go to tool for DIY woodwork
The DOVAMAN MCS01A is a compact circular saw for a range of DIY jobs, and it’s genuinely exceeded my expectations. The 710W copper motor delivers impressive power for such a small tool — it handles wood, metal, and even tiles with ease. The six included blades are a real bonus and make switching between materials quick and simple. The saw offers excellent cutting precision, thanks to the built-in laser guide and edge guide, which have helped me achieve straight, accurate cuts every time. I especially appreciate the easy bevel adjustment — just two steps to switch from 0° to 45°, and the depth adjustment lever for cross cuts is intuitive and reliable. It cuts smoothly and confidently, with 29mm depth at 45° and 43mm at 90°. The metal auxiliary handle is a great addition for stability, and I like that it can be mounted on either side — really helpful for both left- and right-handed use. The larger base plate makes a big difference in maintaining steady, clean cuts. Safety-wise, the dual-action power switch and safety lock give you peace of mind, especially when handling sharp blades. Connecting it to a workshop vacuum works well for dust control — it keeps things much cleaner than I expected. Pros: Powerful 710W motor for a compact design Versatile cutting options: bevel, cross, wood, metal, tile Built-in laser and edge guides improve accuracy Comes with 6 blades for different materials Safety lock prevents accidental starts Lightweight yet stable with dual-handle design Cons: Laser visibility could be better in bright lighting Blade changes require firm pressure on the lock shaft button (a bit fiddly at first) Dust extraction works best with a strong vacuum Overall, this is a well-built, feature-rich saw that punches well above its weight for the price. Perfect for DIYers or anyone needing a powerful, compact cutting tool with versatility and safety in mind.

It's OK for lightweight tasks
It works pretty well for lightweight tasks; the additional handle for two-handed operation is easy to fit and useful. Changing blades is easy, the cut quality (I've only used it on plywood so far) is acceptable, and build quality of the unit is fine for its intended use overall. However, with my particular unit the laser line projected does not ine up with where the blade cuts, and the guide attachment could do with being able to handle a wider strip. I'm not disappointed on the whole, but it could have been so much better with these limitations sorted out.

Brilliant little saw
Wasn't expecting much from this, but ended up using it to cut kitchen worktops (before finishing with router), aluminium splashbacks and loads more. Exceeded my expectations. Even the little dust extraction spout worked well with a suitable vacuum. I did buy some other blades which probably helped.

Powerful and easy to use, with expected limits on depth
This mini circular saw performs really well and is much easier to use than a full-size circular saw, especially for smaller DIY jobs. It feels well made and is comfortable to handle, with good control during cuts. One big plus is the range of blades included. Having different blades for wood, metal, plastic, and tile adds a lot of value and makes it very versatile. Power-wise, it’s impressive for its size and cuts cleanly through most materials. The only downside is the cutting depth, but that’s expected from a compact saw like this. It doesn’t go very deep, but within its limits it’s powerful and reliable. Overall, a very handy tool to have.

Does the job
Not a bad little saw, ive used it to cut a few boards of chipboard and MDF down to size for a few shelving units, so far so good. I saw a few negative reviews before I bought it, some said you don't get all 6 blades... I had 2 tile blades, 2 100 teeth blades and 1 24 tooth blades in individual packaging and the other 25 tooth blades was already attached. Some of the other negative reviews I saw said it didn't last long and just stopped working, or wouldn't cut.... So far I have no issues with it's cutting ability and it's still working.... Although I've only used it for couple hours on the weekends... I'll update this if it dies within the next couple of months but so far so good

Great Product
I was looking for a mini circular saw as my normal size circular saw is a bit too much of a beast for some projects as in heavy and a little awkward to move around. This one looked like it would fit the bill and I am not disappointed its is a great little saw and I just don't know how I managed before without one. For the price it is brilliant, easy to adjust light with enough power to do the job. Comes with other blades too and for the price worth every penny. If there is anything I would change with this it would be the safety button on the left side of the saw. That is a little awkward to move for starting up, other than that you have a dust extraction push fit adaptor that will fit most extractors, a top quick fit handle for more stability. This is my go to saw for cutting sheet materials such as Decor end panels on kitchen fitting. It just goes through them like a knife through butter. Brilliant
