Purchased this data sim card to use in our wifi router. The perfect must have solution for our business when the internet provider drops service and you need to keep the credit card terminals running for transactions. The data sim card plans are extremely affordable, many plans to fit your budget as well as customer service via email is fast and prompt. Very happy so far with this service providers data sim card. Update 11/27/25 We are on our second purchase of data and everything is operating smoothly. Our business has lost local internet service many times over during business hours, but thankfully our sim card router with the Spectrum Smart sim card data kept us up and running for credit card transactions. This SIM card, coupled with a Cudy LT500D wireless router, has worked perfectly since installed 2 years ago. This configuration provides 24 hour video security and has only been off-line as a result of an extended power outage. Recently there was an upgrade required to the physical SIM card. While things did not go as outlined with the upgrade documentation, technical support was excellent and my security system was back online within 24 hours. I did however find that the Chat-Bot was a waste of time and direct contact was necessary to resolve my technical issue. Go straight to email support and skip the chat-bot.

This SIM provider is an outstanding solution for simplicity (pun intended) affordability, and support. Needed to set up a hotspot for nanny-cams to monitor my mother-in-law who has dementia. Chose spectrum, and have been thrilled with my decision. Not only was the initial activation a surprising breeze, the subscription options were perfect for my budget. Spectrum recently updated their network which required updating my SIM chip. They sent me a new SIM (free) and transferred my account settings and existing data balance over to the new chip. The process was seamless with virtually no interruption in service; very important factors given the function this provides. Throughout the process, order, shipment, installation, etc, Maria at Spectrum Customer Service, held my hand and answered all my silly questions; often within minutes of my emails! This level of service is becoming increasingly rare these days!! My hats off to Spectrum, as a company, and especially to Maria as an exemplary representative!

The instructions provided a path easy install and activation. No problems other than my camera had to be power cycled when my vard accidentally ran it of data. Additional data was immediately added once paid for on their website. Power cycling the camera was a problem because it was placed in a remote location. So I was without security until I could make it to the site.
