Simple and strong
These are great fixings, I wouldn't use anything else in plasterboard. One word of caution however; they are 'selfdrill' but in certain situations you may want to pre-drill a small hole for them rather than relying on them to 'selfdrill'. This is just down to different plasterboard and whats on the surface, paint/wallpaper I think, as sometimes they can crack/bubble the plasterboard. So if you're unsure, drill first.I've used these to fix some really heavy stuff like big screen plasma TVs.Another good use that's not really mentioned is if you want to regularly screw / unscrew the fixings (I used it for a hidden safe!) As the threads don't wear out.

Brilliant - easy to use and strong!
Bought this for hanging a coat rack in the hall. We abuse our coat hangers - hang coat after coat on it until they slide off! Far heavier than they are supposed to be - these have kept it hanging on a plasterboard wall without a problem. Easy to use and to fit - do the job nicely. One tip make sure the screw size that come with these is what you want - you cannot use different screws with them.

Useless. Just makes a hole in the wall
Not the best plasterboard raw plug I have used. Doesn’t grip the plasterboard at all.

Excellent product
Excellent, a few days for delivery but exactly what you need for all types of stud walls, easy to use and very strong unlike the plastic ones from the large supply outlets and a fraction of the price, can't fault them.

A brute of a plug with a misleading name
When I first saw these I knew they would do almost any job thrown at them.... I imagine they are worth 5 stars but the name suggests that they can be used in plasterboard and that is misleading. Perhaps it's because I am a DIY numpty, but when it suggests that it can be used on plasterboard I take that at face value. Don't! The plasterboard has to have something solid behind it. Putting this into plasterboard alone is a bit like cutting icecream with a hot poker! I have also used this on a wall panelling product called Fermacell and it's open warfare between these two with all the sounds of an incoming artillary shell! The Rawlplug also heats up alarmingly. So, all in all I don't know where one can commonly use this Schwartzenegger of a wall plug ...

They break easily
Bought metal as thought they'd be stronger than nylon. Wrong, they break easily.
