After watching mandolines used on Chopped all the time, I decided to get one for myself. I researched many online, and selected this product from Fullstar as providing the best value and having the most favorable ratings. As it turns out, these high reviews are well deserved.First, from a product design standpoint, their industrial/product designer is very talented. Every piece is well-crafted, using high-quality plastic. It's washable in a dishwasher (that was the first thing I did). And it's intuitively easy to use. Just as importantly, they considered how this would be stored, and to keep all of the components together, since there are a wide variety of cutting blades to account for every application. They were very clever in how they packaged the blades, and everything stores into a very convenient caddy that keeps them all together so they don't get lost in your kitchen drawers.They also considered how to keep the user safe because, if you watch the cooking shows, half the chefs invariably wind up slicing themselves on mandolines during the course of their cooking. This one has a well-designed handgrip that keeps your hands away from the blades while firmly securing whatever it is you're slicing. They also thoughtfully include a protective glove, which gives you an additional – and very welcome – measure of safety.I highly recommend this product as a great addition to the kitchen for any home chef!

What a fantastic upgrade to my kitchen appliances! This 11 piece Madoline Slicer by Fullstar has so many accessories to help with the prep of cutting veggies for any meal.I love the large plastic container that the veggies go into. It’s slanted to make cutting easier and has two rubber strips/feet On the bottom to keep the container secure while slicing. I also love the organization of this product. All the cutting tools fit nicely into its own convenient slot within the tool holder. The safety glove to protect your hand and peeler grater are a nice bonus. You have a lot of options for slicing a variety of styles with the many Madeline cutting tools: I used the waffle cutting tool for my first use of this product. I’m was thankful for the instruction booklet to help me with mthe use of the waffle setting. This definitely will take me some practice to get the thickness to my desired liking as the veggie has to be rotated 90 degrees each slice.( as per instruction booklet provided with kit) Even still, it did a great job just a little thinner than I wanted but that was my lack of finesse in cutting it properly. I’d would highly recommend this product. What you get for under $20 is incredible! This will definitely be replacing the older mandolin I have.

I am quite satisfied with this product and like that it had two slicing blades one for very thin slices and one for a thicker slices. I wanted a slicer that could make thin slices for potato chips, and dehydrating. I am a gadget lover and have a electric slicer for bread and meat, and have used it for veggies, but it is loud and hard to clean. I also have a food processer but it is also a pain to clean, and takes up a lot of space in the dishwasher, plus the blade for slicing only sliced thick slices. This works good for small jobs, and is easy to just rinse off the blades. The slicing blade if VERY sharp and easy to slice veggies like onions, green peppers, and potatoes. I haven't used all of the attachments, but am pleased that the blades are very sharp. I was afraid that using it would take a lot of muscle since I have arthritis, but it is very easy to use. I am very glad for the safety glove because I have had my share of kitchen accidents. Hopefully everyone uses this product using safety precautions. I have a been known to ignore instructions and regretted it. The product came will blade holder, but I prefer to store the parts inside of slicer. Update: I started to use one of the ribbon blade and found it difficult, so I came back and decided to watch the video, I wish they would have the demonstrator narrate and explain how to hold the hold the vegetable, because I didn't have much luck with that blade. Most of the demonstrators seem to be practiced, I wish they would share some of their knowledge with a greenhorn like myself. :UPDATE I have had this slicer for about a month and the slicing blades are dull. I use it to slice potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions for the dehydrator, I only did small amounts. I thought maybe I could get replacement blades and when another customer asked about replacement blade he was told to just buy another one. Shouldn't the blades last more than a month. I realize that it was only $20, but if they only last a short time shouldn't you be able to get replacements? $20 is not a lot but not if you have to buy one every month or so.

WOW THIS IS AMAZING! I love new kitchen tools but this one is in a category of its own. I just sliced 5 large Russett potatoes for scalloped potatoes and it was a breeze. I never used a knife! I wore the glove and I was careful to keep my hands far away from the blade. Besides that, wow....I've never sliced potatoes that thin with a knife. I am very happy with this product.

Perfect slicer for zucchini, potatoes, cucumbers, etc. Makes quick work of meal preparations. Extreme caution when usingas blade is very sharp, the slicing goes quickly and requires diligent attention. Not for youngsters! Clean up is quick and easy. I cannot stress enough to be careful!

Immediately check your product! Don't wait until you need to use it like I did. My product was broken prior to packaging. I know this because the missing piece was no where to be found.Aside from the product arriving broken, the product is very easy to use. It cut through a sweet potato with ease.
