I’ve tried multiple different brands over the years, and this Stanley food jar is by far my favorite. The key is to follow the instructions and pour hot water inside for a few minutes before adding the food — once you do that, it works amazingly well. My preteen uses it for school, and she says her food stays hot all the way until lunchtime. The quality is excellent, and the color is beautiful in person. She loves carrying it, and the built-in spork on the side is such a convenient bonus. It’s sturdy, reliable, and definitely worth the price. This is the only food jar we’ll be buying from now on!

I bought this for my daughter to take her lunch to school in. The first day, I put hot food straight into it, but by lunchtime (about 4-5 hours later), she said it was barely warm. The next day, I tried a different method: I poured in boiling water, closed the lid, let it sit for about 5 minutes, then dumped the water and added her food. She said it was still hot at lunchtime! I've done this every day since, and no more complaints about cold food. So just make sure to preheat it first. It makes all the difference. Highly recommend once you get the prep routine down! This Stanley food jar keeps food warm for many hours for my breakfasts. Stanley makes quality products that I know will last for many years. It is leak proof, I throw it in my bag and have never had an issue. I love the spork that is included. It’s so easy to clean and I love the look of it.

Works great, tried it out with some soup, I preheated the food jar with boiling water, heated up the soup and put it in the food jar at 6:30am.. I ate it at 3pm and it was still hot. Almost to hot to eat! It’s rated for 7 hours but I bet at 12 hours it would be warm enough to eat without complaints. It fits great in my Stanley lunch box, doesn’t leak at all! My only quibble is that the color is off compared to my hammertone green lunchbox and mug. No biggie, doesn’t affect the function!

This keeps food hot for 5 hours only if you preheat it first. Otherwise food is lukewarm after a few hours. But that's about the same as other brands so... Not a fan of the sport on the side, prefer the folding spoon in lid myself. It works but still hunting for something that will keep food a little hotter. Probably would work better for soups than leftovers though.

This cup is awesome! Food stays piping hot and I love that it is dishwasher safe. We also have a similar Thermos brand cup which I almost repurchased but decided to try the Stanley instead. I’m glad I did—the Stanley offers a better product which keeps food warm longer and a more sturdy utensil. Worth the extra $ in my opinion if you’re comparing products!

Heavy-duty, leak proof, keeps food warm all day! It looks compact, but can hold a lot. My son likes the look of it, too.
