AMZZ Professional 1/2 Half Size Violin Bow – Brazilwood, Ebony Frog, White Horsehair for Beginners and Students

I would highly recommend this beginner bow. I like that the bow arrived with the hair loosened. I’ve ordered several bows for my strings classes and have been quite surprised at how many bows arrive tightened. This one looks and works great. I’ve ordered at least seven other bows on Amazon and this is the best one so far. Hopefully quality is controlled from bow to bow.

My nine year old’s music teacher recommended it and we couldn’t be happier. It is the perfect fit for my beginner violinist!

After leaving the review below I was contacted by the supplier directly. There seemed to be confusion on my original order. However, without me asking, the company sent the correct item. It is good quality. It's not often that a company would go to these lengths to make something better without being asked. I appreciate your efforts and concerns. I definitely would buy from your company again. Thanks so much, Paul Webb I ordered a 4/4 bow and expected it to be 29.5 inches long. I recieved one that was about 24 inches long. It was a gift and I gave it anyway, but was disappointed.

I purchased this to replace my daughter's current bow for her 1/2 size violin, and thus ordered the 1/2 size model. First to note, the bow is packed poorly--it is simply unmarked, in a open ended slim plastic bag which was then placed in a huge (comparatively) box, simply packed in with some crumpled brown paper to keep it from rattling around too much. When I opened the box, the bow was half out of it's plastic bag. You get what you pay for--this does not feel like a quality bow. The wood shaft has imperfections in the finish which you can feel when you slide your finger down it. Worst of all, the bow does not fit my daughter's violin case. The bow I received measures 25 inches, which is roughly a little more than a half inch longer than the bow it is replacing. Buyer beware!
