This is a really good bookshelf. It is sturdy and an attractive color. The unusual design looks great and is not at all an odd thing to see in your house. And as Goldilocks would say, it's not too big and not too little. It's just right. We have this on a small side table near our entrance door. It easily holds quite a number of books of various sizes and is never in danger of tipping over from the weight. It is a good addition for us to use for library books we check out so they have their own "place" in the house and don't get mixed in with our own books.

The media could not be loaded. These bookshelves are the perfect size for my apartment. They hold quite a lot of books (15-20 depending on size) without taking up a lot of space. I purchased 2 of the 4-tier shelves and keep them in the floor on either side of my desk. They are very sturdy and were built pretty quickly. The instructions aren’t the most detailed, but it’s pretty straightforward. I’ve recommend it to several friend since!

Just got this shelf along with the lamp (Purchased separately) The lamp was a BREEZE to put together, this shelf? Not so much.Let me preface this by saying I have assembled everything from Hardwood floors, to lego sets and of course Ikea furniture. Point is, I can out stuff together as long as the instructions are clear. With that being said, these are the worst instructions ever.First off the holes do not match what is depicted, this is somewhat easy to work around if you get all the pieces And align them as seen in the photo BUT make sure all of the side holes are facing UP as this is where the back will drill in.No, to segway into the back, once I figured out the above and assembled the back part, I quickly learned that the holes do not align, maybe mine was faulty, but each hole was about 1cm off from being in the right spot, which meant I had to slightly hand drill all the screws in and then MALLET the back down, then repeat until the back was flush on there. Luckily the bottom base was smooth to put on from there.Overall. It was more frustrating than it needed to be. Even with that said I only took a star off, I know what I paid for and ultimately, for the price, it was a good value and nice color and is doing what it's intended for. I think the additional wall safety anchor was a thoughtful touch as well (Incase you plan to put this over your bed or over something fragile underneath)Fix your instructions and your holes and this will be a 5 star success, easily!As a WARNING, do NOT overtighten the screws, you WILL crack the wood and no one wants that!Thank you!

I love the way this looks! My husband put it together for me and I now have all my current books in one place.

The bookshelf holds itself up will without any need to fasten it to a wall. I stacked it pretty full of books just to test it out and it’s been holding up good.The assembly was a little tricky. I when attaching the back support piece, not all of the holes were lining up for me. All I had to do to fix that was loosen everything that I had tightened and then I was able to adjust the back board to all of the holes without an issue. Then I went back and tightened everything back up.Aside from the little hassle of loosening things and havin to tighten them back up again, it’s great and serves its purpose well.

Pros: Relatively straightforward to assemble, good color (the black is dark and not streaky), good space-saving designCons: Not all holes aligned (though the screw I had to leave out was in the middle, so it's holding together fine without it). Weird plastic hairs/filaments all over the assembly pieces (hope I don't get lung cancer?). Stickers clearly label each piece, but they don't peel off well so you need Goo Gone on hand to not have stickers all over the shelf!Advice: When assembling, pay attention not only to the letters of the pieces, but to where all the holes on the sides are so each plank is oriented correctly.

Perfect for any corner or small space, holds a ton but may want to bracket it to the wall.

The first box i received there were 2 holes not fully drilled, and on one other board the hole was drilled on the wrong side of the board so i couldn't assemble. I don't have a drill so i rely on these predrilled flat pack furniture items.I contacted amazon to organize a replacement and a new package arrived within about 18 hours. This one was able to be quickly and easily assembled.Now that it's built, I'm very happy and it is as advertised. It seems to be holding up the weight of the books in a way that seems stable, and i appreciate the option to mount against the wall for safety if needed.Some of the screws didn't feel like they were able to be tightened enough (i recognize that could be on me though), but the quality of the wood is nice and it looks great!
