It’s durable, it’s thin. It’s a little heavy. I will never go back to a traditional dog leash. I live the biothan material. I got a standard 6ft leash as well for regular walks. The long is great for training and giving my dog a little more freedom at the park and on hikes

Tried out our new 20 foot leash today. It was great on the trail, Not too heavy for Dex (20 lb poodle) to pull along and sniff and explore safely. Feels sturdy. So easy to just wipe clean on a wet and muddy day when we got back to the car. Definitely recommend!

First off, I loved how this leash was packaged for mailing—wrapped in paper in a small plastic envelope. Very eco friendly!!! We’ve used the leash a few times with our 100-pound-and-growing puppy and like that it doesn’t absorb water and mud like our old cloth training leash. The blaze orange color is brilliant, and the brass clip and stitching appear to be very sturdy. The smoothness and flexibility of the leash material is also a huge improvement over the old cloth leash.

This leash is great for my 11lb terrier mix. Combined with an x-small Blue-9 Balance harness, this leash gives us tons of freedom for him to explore the trails in the woods near our house yet I feel like I'm still in control. The leash is slender but strong. The 15ft length is perfect - not too long, not too short. The only thing is, the clasp seems heavy for a small dog, so I made a short extension out of a shoelace off the back harness loop, so the clasp can hang at his side and not bounce on his back. Overall I love this leash, it's easy to keep untangled and it repels the water fairly well. I still get my hands a little dirty if I let it drag on a rainy day, but I don't mind, its my choice :)

I am doing nose work with my dog, and this lead fills the bill. it is lightweight, sturdy, the perfect length for the job, and is very comfortable in my hands. Highly recommend.

I love these Jim Hodges leashes more than any leash I’ve used before. They’re extremely strong, feel very premium in material, and are well priced. I’ve purchased at leash 4 of these leashes; not because of breakage, but because I like them so much I wanted doubles and different lengths. I have two 6’, two 10’, and a 20’.. I’m a dog trainer/walker and use them both for work and with my own dog. If you’ve purchased another waterproof leash, I ensure you it’s not the same material. This is not like the Wolfone or Nimble leashes..I also have a couple Wolfone leashes and they are far more rubbery feeling. Jim Hodges leash is biothane, different thing.. stronger too. I much prefer these leashes to anything, and I’ll never use a nylon leash again.Anyone that tells you they got rope burn from these leashes has weak skin and would get 3rd degree burns from a standard nylon leash.Also, if you don’t like it, Jim Hodges leashes are returnable at Kohls..no need to print labels. But you’ll like it..

Bought this about 4 months ago. I love the leash in orange—I can find it even if it’s buried in the bottom of the dog’s bag. 15” seems like the perfect length for giving our dog some free rein without getting tangled up. Easy to clean and I t’s held up very well with lots of use.

UPDATE: One quick dash to the end of this line and the clasp broke. I even dropped the line when he came to the end. The stitching held, however, which was actually my main concern. Thank goodness he has good recall, we were near the road. Unfortunately this is now unusable and it's way past the return date. Bummed.I should have checked measurements more carefully, this is very narrow/thin. So far holding up though with my 50lb malinois mix. We use it for training and sniff walks and it's lighter weight than thicker biothane, which I like, but I do get nervous if he pulls as it's a single line stitch at the clasp and handle rather than double. So far so good though, it's tough! I want to add for those that say their dog chews through these, these are not tie outs, and not to be left on a dog/puppy unattended, this is a training tool.

This is just as described and ideal for training puppies. Really good catches on it which are great for the beach.
