The parts fit well. A couple of the sticks are a bit warped, but not a problem. I liked the parts selection - mostly just various shaped disks and various length sticks, also a couple of pieces that enable wheels to go around or windmills, etc. The colors are vibrant and the size of the individual pieces is good. They are a bit bigger than the ones I had when a child. (In contrast to many of the knock-offs on Amazon that users say are much smaller.) I needed this for a single-use class demo but knew it would double as a toy for our granddaughter. It will work well for both. If she gets excited about it, I'll likely buy another set to make bigger and more complicated structures.

Grandkids are loving this retro toy! Nice container to keep them in and plenty of pieces to build with!

We ordered this brand and another brand. I like these better. Although the pieces break and are a tight fit, they are better in these areas than one of its competitors.

This set of tinker toys by Schylling is very high quality. I purchased for my 2 year old. However, my 2 year old and 6 year old played together with these toys so much I considered buying two sets so they would have more pieces to play with. The pieces are larger / more durable than the pieces we had from a Tinker Toy set I played with as a child. Some of the pieces broke in my childhood set but these are thicker / stronger. The case that these came in is very sturdy and will hold up to many years of play - much better than the cardboard boxes that other sets come with. The pieces fit together well but are not difficult to disconnect. My 2 year old and 6 year old both play with them with ease and do not get frustrated. There are 70 pieces in this set and it would likely be helpful to have more than one set if you have two children playing together so there are more pieces. Overall, very high quality set - no surprise from a company like Schylling.

This kit comes with five small wooden end caps that are not pictured or described in the listing, attaching a pic of what these look like. Absolutely a choking hazard and not appropriate for 3 year olds—threw them away since they roll away so easily, not worth the risk to nearby smaller children. The quality control on the milling of the wood pieces is also lacking. Sticks and holes are all different diameters and depths: a stick that “sticks” in one hole on a round cog won’t in another cog because the hole is too big or too shallow, and different sticks of the same length and color won’t fit in the same hole. Several sticks also arrived warped. Don’t waste your money on these!

It's difficult to find classic wood tinker toys. Our little ones love them.
