Excellent quality product
I bought the Sharpal Diamond lapping Plate over the DMT diamonds lapping plate because the following reasons:1) the quality of the product is very impressive. Heavy iron plate ( chromed ) and rubber feet.2) the diamond particles small sharp and the distribution across the plate is very uniform. See the picture ( zoom in ) from their add.3) flattened my hardest ceramic stone in 3 minutes. Please see the attached photos . I thought the wet sand paper would have a hard time to remove it. However I have not tried yet . I will report later if I get a chance to do it.4. The price of this is the best deal you can buy 2 of this diamond plates for one DMT plate.5. You can send this product as Christmas or Birthday presents. All and all it is my best investment and I would buy the second one in a Heart beat.Kudos to you SHARPAL 👍

Works as intended
Works great as a lapping stone and will likely use this as a thinning stone as well.

Great stone
I love this stone. I use it for flattening my Shapton ceramic stones and it works great it is actually flatter than the Shapton flattening stone that is 300 bucks. I would recommend anyone to buy this one rather than the Shapton and save money

Well-made and durable.
Made of high-quality heavy material and is large enough to handle any job. I use mostly diamond stones for sharpening so don't need to flatten them, but plan to use this for flattening steel plates and deburring. The table on my Bridgeport must be flat and free of burrs when milling.

Best lapping plate
This is by far the best lapping plate I have ever used. Large size and quick removal of material. As a professional cabinet maker sharp tools are essential and this keeps sharping stones in tip top condition. I highly recommend.

Very good for lapping sharpening stones
Seems to wear about the same as most diamond sharpening plates in that is loses some rough grit initially, but retains grit well enough. Grit consistency seems good. The large 4 x 10" size is great. Flatness seems good. The non-slip base is also very good. I wish this came with a plastic box/stand like their 320/1200 grit combination sharpening plate comes with.

If you need stones flattened this is perfect!
I received this today. I spent about an hour I'd say flattening four sides. But, oh man what a difference. I've been using these stones for years and never once flattened them.Lately it was getting super difficult to put a clean edge on a knife. The bevel became more and more wavy as the stone cupped in. These leveled that stone with little effort. In fact the less pressure and the longer you go the better flatteness you'll get.10 outta 10 from me.

Unbelievable value, but not for low grit stones
I purchased this stone as competitors stones are outrageously overpriced IMO. I use this stone with Shapton Kuromakus in 320, 1000, 2000, 5000, 8000, and 12k grits. It works unbelievably well with all those stones except the 320 grit. It makes the 320 way too smooth and ruins the cutting ability. It works well as a Nagura stone as well with the 220 grit. It doesn't remove huge chunks of stone to ruin the lifespan of your stones, but quick enough to quickly restore a clogged surface. Putting a .001 straight level on it, id estimate it's well within that .002 spec. Amazing value for the money. Just grab one and don't spend double on something you don't need.
