I’ve been using this cooler for over two years on multiple trips, and it has performed flawlessly. It runs equally well on 12V and 120V power, is quiet, and delivers excellent cooling performance. Because it uses a true compressor, it works reliably in all conditions. When my neighbor’s refrigerator failed, it was even able to keep her breast milk frozen. Be aware that if you set the temperature to 36°F or lower, items near the inside wall closest to the control panel may freeze.

Purchased specifically for a road trip that requires overnight stay to keep frozen bag of fresh food frozen to avoid buying dry ice or bags of ice. It performs as advertised! We did test after sitting it upright for about 24hrs after receiving this unit. Plugged into the outlet directly with a fridge thermometer inside not specifically to compare accuracy but to confirm it ran as expected. Then tested it with ice cubes in the little bowl. We were impressed by this little unit that we decided to drive with it in the van for couple of days to test out further with grocery shopping trips which included Ice Creams with about 1hr drive altogether. Success. The temp difference between this unit and fridge thermometer we had was about +/-3 to 5F. We did not mind this as much as the temp fluctuation can be different between environment or what we have inside, and it wasn't 10F difference. We did plug it in before the trip to prep before placing the frozen items inside the cooler. The unit itself is quiet enough not to notice it's running while driving. And we loved the fact that it came with 12v and 110 plug - this was important as our primary use, of course, was for the road trip. Other units we were looking at required separate purchase of accessories (including adapters etc. etc.) which added up to be a huge investment. As a first time owners of portable fridge/freezer, this fit the bill with good rating that we can try affordably. Went for 23QT to fit between the seats, on the floor. Light to carry, small enough to be portable, quick to reach the desired temp. We've been using quite often for the last couple of months and it's been really reliable.

It has been close to a year since I purchased this Fridge, and I want to leave my honest review. I’ve been using the BougeRV 23qt since July 2024 for my Jeep Gladiator, and I can confidently say it has exceeded all expectations. I currently have a 50qt ARB fridge that I use on my off-road teardrop trailer. When the Jeep is not on the go, I have it plugged into my Jackery 500, setting the fridge at 25 degrees and using it constantly for a 6-8 hour period. It only consumed about 40% of the battery life. **Build Quality:** The unit is solidly built and better than I expected. The handle could be made deeper and I can see someone with much larger fingers having difficulty with it when lifting the fridge. The digital controls are intuitive and easy to use, and the LED display is clear even in bright light. It doesn't feel cheap at all—despite being significantly more affordable than top-tier brands. **Noise Level:** Very quiet. You’ll barely hear it running, which is a big plus if you’re sleeping in your vehicle or nearby. **Portability:** At 23 quarts, it's the perfect size for solo travel or weekend getaways. It holds more than you think, and the compact design means it fits easily in the backseat or trunk. **Final Thoughts:** The BougeRV 23Qt car fridge has worked tremendously well for my needs. It’s rare to find a product at this price point that can genuinely outperform some of the more expensive competition. Whether you're new to car camping or just looking for a reliable backup, this fridge is a smart buy and I highly recommend it. **The only areas of improvement that I can see are a drain when cleaning/washing, like my ARB fridge, and deeper handles that allow a better grip.

First things first: when you receive the fridge, make sure to keep it upright and let it sit for at least 24 hours longer is even better before turning it on. This is really important to avoid damaging the compressor. The settings are straightforward and easy to adjust to your preferences. I tested it, and it cools down very quickly. I love not having to worry about ice just plug it into the car, and it’s ready for grocery runs. It fits perfectly in the trunk of my car. Camping with this fridge is a breeze. If you pair it with a portable power station like EcoFlow or Jackery an 800Wh battery plus two 200W solar panels you can have unlimited freezing power for the weekend. I’m also planning to get the recommended cover, which helps regulate the temperature even more. Overall, it’s a convenient, high-performing fridge that’s perfect for travel, camping, and tailgating.

Haven't really used it yet. Will do so in the coming week. At that time upon my return, I will give a full review. But for now, I will provide my first impression. It is light weight (empty). The 12V and 120 plugs both work in the car and truck and in the house. When I first plugged it into the house AC inlet it worked with no issues. It turned on and cooled fast. The motor is quiet. and the container that holds items that you want cool works great. When I attempted to turn off the frig, I had an issue with it not shutting down. Ooops! I guess I didn't hold it down long enough to turn it off. You do have to hold it for 3 or more seconds to turn it on and off.

For our trip North to South, we are not bringing our travel trailer. Mainly because of our late departure this year. To allow us to bring my medication that must remain refrigerated, I picked up a portable refrigerator that runs off the cars 12-volt system. After some research, I ended up with a BougeRV 23-quart refrigerator. It can maintain temps anywhere from -8° to 50° F, selectable to what you want. I set ours to 37° F. The storage compartment of the frig is 9.65 inches high by 9.84 inches wide and 13.78 inches long. This is all usable area. I purchased it with an insulated cover BougeRV also makes that helps maintain its temperature. When we are parked or spending the night at a hotel, the refrigerator will continue to run powered by a Harbor Fright Predator 350W portable power station. This station is small and very compact. It is rated at 294-watt hours and will keep the refrigerator powered for well over 24 hours. This surprised me. I was hoping for at least 8 hours, but 24 hours is fantastic! I should also mention how quiet it is. You can barely hear it. The insulating cover also adds to attenuating the sound. My only disappointment, some fruit drink containers are too tall to fit vertically. So, they must be laid down horizontally to fit. Half-gallon milk containers fit vertically. All in all, I really like this BougeRV 23-quart refrigerator. It does everything I hoped for and more.

In use for months now and working very well. Fairly quiet with just a light compressor hum when on, and a slight vibration, can easily sleep if in the same room. Digital display easy to use, may take a few minutes to get used to but is well explained in the instructions. Can technically be made cold enough to create ice, but it is best just keeping things drink-cold instead of frozen. Great quality, happy with purchase.

so far working like a champ. just right size for my truck. did not try to freeze anything but keep everything with in 2-3 degrees. i would have bought the larger one if I had more space
