Love the texture, very easy to make and add to various recipes. Absorbs lots of flavors.

I thought these were great. Vacuum sealed. Great texture when boiled. I really enjoy buying instant tteokbokki, but it’s costly (usually $5 for a single serving) so now I buy rice cakes and make my own sauce with gochujang/soy sauce/sugar/garlic. Add some green onions at the end and maybe melt some cheese. Homemade takes same amount of time as instant. Unless the price goes up, I will be buying these again.

I didn’t notice a chemical smell like some comments say; and they’re individually wrapped, so I ate cooked one of the ones that did not have mold on the inside. Given the sheer amount of good reviews, I’ll assume that that’s a fluke, but still gross. Taste and texture of the ones that didn’t have mold seem fine to me. A little disappointing that one was moldy, but will def eat the other pack that isn’t moldy.

I like most foreign foods, but I have to admit most of those I've tried were probably Americanified! I saw these on Korean TV and they looked the ultimate comfort food but I had little but the internet to make anything like the TV item. If I had the money and energy to go to Korea itself to try them--I'm al.ost 80 and not quite the person I used to be!--I'm sure my opinion would change. I've given the item a 3 because my disappointment is strictly my fault. Others may love them, so no low numbers.
